Who scored for us? I cannot get it from anywhere! :undecided:

Livescore.com

I don't know why, but in the last month on Livescore when I click on the games the pop up has always been showing nothing else than "no information available".

Would love it if Obertan is the next player to go through the standard Pard's transformation, but from what i seen i doubt it.

Would be great though, would just be another option for Pard's to call upon.

I don't see it either but Obertan has more natural ability than those Pardew has 'transformed'.

Call me mad aswell but I am very confident that Obertan will be one hell of a player. I have watched him in reserves alot and he is awesome....shock news i know.

Had a major confidence issue last season after his injury and never really recovered..

Watch him go this season!!

I watched Obertan destroy our reserves when he was at Man U once. Absolutely meaningless. I won't believe Obertan can be a player until he performs consistently for over 20 games in a season and actually does the simple things right for once. He will also need to prove he can actually deliver on a creative/technical level instead of wasting opportunities all the time.

He has the most work to do to convince Newcastle fans he has anything to offer

Started focusing on him when he played last season and honestly can't work him out. It's like his brain is two seconds behind his body most of the time.

With his pace he should be fit to beat a man in a one-to-one situation but he always seems to want to cut back inside to try and beat him again on the other foot and ends up doing nowt.

The amount of times I found myself shouting at the TV was  Just use your pace!!!

It's like he's caught in two minds about what to do.

I'm gutted for the lad because there is "something" there but he's far from where he needs to be (at this level) imo.

Shame, but hope we see a Pards inspired change in him this season.

Well watching him in the reserves and playing well is lovely, but its not the top level now is it.

I myself have watched every single minute of his time playing for us. This is being generous by the way, he has been god awful, he has absolutely no awareness or common sense when he has the ball. He just hasn't been good enough, in fact he hasn't shown that he can play at Premiership level at all imo. But i hope as he is young he may improve and get better. I have serious doubts but you never know.

What i will say though is, if he's in the 1st eleven then i shall cheer him on in exactly the same way i would Cabaye, Colo or Ben Arfa. Just like i have always done and when you have cheered on players like Peter Garland, Archie Gourlay, Darren Bradshaw to name a few, Obertan is like cheering on Messi.

Can someone link me to the best post summation of the match please? CBA with 14 pages.

Who scored for us?

Shola, Marveaux, Marveaux (pen), Vuckic, Obertan.

Rip-roarer of a thread I've missed then

I wonder if footballers can have "their game" deconstructed and rebuilt (like a Golfer changing a swing stance etc), think he would benefit from that.

Step 1: receive timely pass

Step 2: look up at acres of green grass

Step 3: run towards goal

Step 4: encounter defender? run straight past him

Step 5: shoot if in good position or cross to better placed forward

It really is that simple

Aye, that would be nice. Obertan's problem is he does all of those fantastically badly, mind you he played ok at Den Haag and his goal was a good one tonight, hope springs eternal and all that guff.

We were unstoppable until Shola went off. Lost our direction a bit after that and the game fizzled out a bit.

The new french lad was my MOTM and Shola was as good as I've ever seen him I think.

How did Good play? Ben Arfa?
