If there was no case hanging over him there would have been clubs jumping all over to sign him at a fee of 6.8m and probably higher wages than we would have offered. Nothing is absolute, sure but we would have likely been blown straight out of the water by other bids. Bearing in mind too there are many other far more ambitious clubs around us. Someone wants loan him for a season, a quarter of that would be one year hence him pullling the £2m figure out of his arse. You could even see him working it out in his fuckwit brain. It meant nothing, the bloke has no idea obviously what it would be, seeing as yesterday he said Remy wouldn't be loaned. Rather like Pardew he can't stop talking and as with Pardew 99% is bollocks.
