So the floodgates opened when we went 2 behind, so fuck.

I've come in here ready to rant at anyone who wants to be too negative after the last two games. Would you rather have seen those two games, or 180 minutes of speculative, disorganised hoofball after which we lost 1-0 and 2-0, for example? Loads of positives from two games you'd have budgeted for precisely 0 points from. If you fancy sniping, or you aren't in some small way heartened by what you've seen in the last few days then fuck right off.

And a happy new year

what the fuck was that 'no more goals' about ffs

It was correct in principle; however his tactics which followed made it look like he'd said the complete opposite. He looked like he was going for the jugular, when in fact he needed to protect the defense.

Did this actually happen? I remember the commentator saying it but thought he was just trying to be funny. :hmm:

sure he mouthed something along those lines when the camera was on him, to be fair tho, he probably just meant arsenal

Wasn't the bigi substitution made after we had conceded the 4th? It wasn't a good idea but still.

A true Newcastle manager wouldn't do that.

 We were absolutely spent and looked like conceding every time Arsenal went forward. He would've been absolutely right to tighten up; except he did nothing to achieve that. It's like he changed his mind immediately after he said it.

The 4-3-3 that had us equalise three times should've been completely abandoned as soon as Ba's goal went in. Instead, he left Cisse wandering about on the right-wing without a clue how to help (the horrific) Simpson handle Walcott.

Flattering scoreline for Arsenal but mixed performance from us too. Defensively we looked all over the place, and the midfield giving away the ball didn't help much either.

Basically football in the PL is all about who can do things fastest, and we don't have anyone who can play anywhere near the Arsenal pace. We did well to get 3, but were always likely to concede a load.

Everton is extremely important now as we thought.

Right side needs a total fix. The fact we've been playing a striker whose clearly not comfortable with playing on the flanks, and a league 2 defender for parts of the campaign is just begging for a change. Sure Ben Arfa is returning, but we cannot bet on him staying for a while, he hasn't got the cleanest injury record..

Remy watching this s*** in france thinking "hell no". Infact, every possible player we had in mind for january might be thinking that. We blew it in the summer.

F*ck Remy with our recent improvement in regards to attack i couldnt care less about that...

Just get some f*cking defenders.

Arsenal scored 7 from 10 attempts on goal. Those stats don't add that we gifted most of those situations. We did well everywhere apart from the defence and Tiote Ashley; show us your money.

Or more than half the team as its otherwise known

We've looked all over the place at the back for a month.
