They're a good match for one another. Sissoko's dribbling from deep was good and he supported attacks well. Frustratingly, when he was getting forward with the ball at pace, he'd play it to one of the 2 up top and they'd slow it right down.

Hopefully this will change when Remy is fit

I felt that Moussa and Vurnon looked a much better match than Tiote and Cabaye overall.

Times in our season where we finished fifth that those two were immense. You can't take that away from any of them.

I'm just surprised people are surprised that Anita and Sissoko can play together in central midfield, no one was probably more surprised than our tactical genius manager

"whaaa?"

11/12 they had some great games together no denying that but then Tiote turned into Alan Smith and cabaye had his "depression"

Saturday is probably the first time I've seen a decent central midfield performance since 11/12.

Shame it takes a primadonna prettyboy to go on strike for him to even consider it.

This is what he was brought here for. Some really good moments today and was harshly penalised a few times by Chris Foy too. Should only get better.

Agree about Foy, thought he reffed well today but some of the ones he gave against Sissoko were so so soft.

Moussa was imperious today, very impressive and hopefully an end to playing him as a no.10 or a right winger.

Needs to be played in CM, breaking forward. Made for that role.

Bringing Cabaye on and taking Marveaux out freed him up in the second half. Marveaux was playing too central and they were stepping on each other's toes. Gouffran stayed out wide and gave Sissoko the space to run into.

Chris Foy was a right f***ing knob at times today.

Yeah he made some perfectly good tackles which were pulled back just because he was stronger. Thought he was brilliant today though, MotM behind Ben Arfa for me.

Played in his correct position and played well, then? Really glad to hear it. The guy's quality so he'll be a huge asset if he's used properly.

Aye, thought he was very good. Gave away a fair amount of free kicks but mostly unfairly just because he crushed his opponent.

The problem with this league is if you are bigger than another player all the opposition has to do is throw themselves on the floor when you are challenging each other and they will get a freekick.

Not sure why some refs deem a player being more physically imposing a kind of cheating.
