I like a ton of the posters bashing him, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Bashing Moussa is ridiculous.

Bar, say...Shola, Obertan, Gosling and Saylor - can't we easily point the finger at the manager and his coaching staff at the inability to get the best out of his players? Esp the more talented ones? This is the same manager who has dropped Hatem Ben Arfa for the likes of pure-graft.  The same guy who has like 2 LBs on the bench at all times.

Get a grip, Sissoko is a fine player who has a horrible manager who has played him RW, RM, CAM, #10, DCM, LW, etc. and he's still been bloody crucial in MANY of our wins this season.

I'll never really enjoy watching players with limited technical ability. I prefer to watch footballers play the game and not just athletes.

I understand that Sissoko has had a positive influence on many of our good wins this season, just found the rugby reference relevant.

Should be a pretty clear consensus on who's shit and who's not by now given the state of our tactics, team selection, and general form of our players that is far too extreme. Our manager owes his life to the likes of Krul & Colo, Cabaye, and Ba/Remy when you consider crucial goals in seasons where, had they not performed out of their skin at certain times we'd have been scrapping in the lower places of the league.

I don't think there's too many on here that don't like him. Think he's one of our few players who is generally well received by fans. Plain to see the potential he has, only been in the PL a year and hopefully he continue to develop with us.

Aye, instead of raising legitimate points about certain players' actual ability, let's just just have post after post of mindless Pardew abuse. Morph the football forum into one super thread in which we all exclaim just how much we want Pardew to die. Loads of gifs. Banter.

Minus the gifs this sounds like my kind of party.

Legitimate point about Moussa Sissoko: He is a physical beast of a football player who is being used incorrectly by his manager in positions that limit his effectiveness on a match due to the gameplan and tactics that are installed by his manager.

He's not a DM, ACM/#10, Second Striker, Right or Left Winger/Midfielder.  The best form of his career was in a central role along side a defensive minded midfielder (Capoue). Yes, his physical attributes lend himself to be effective at times in the various other positions above, but that shouldn't be where he plays majority of a season.  He's best at deep runs, counter attacking and 1-2s.  He's also a force when he's standing up his man and getting his body in front and using his tremendous upper body strength to muscle opponents off the ball and burst forward with pace.

We bash the manager because on the whole, there are more players in our squad who have regressed in form (and value) since we have signed them over the course of 3 seasons.

So finally, when the manager does more of playing him where he's been most comfortable throughout his career, versus playing him in those other positions, then let's f***ing talk.

I understand Kanji's point and agree on principal. I just don't see why we have to bring Pardew into the discussion when it's about Moussa's technical ability. KaKa clearly wasn't serious and the joke was pretty funny.

Personally I would play Moussa as either openside flanker or fly-half.

Agreed. Although fair play to Kaka for that joke
