Guest firetotheworks
It's not that that's in dispute, although I'd argue that him being 'utterly shit' is an utterly shit, and massively exaggerated opinion when the scale of all things over the past few years has included Colback, Taylor, Gouffran, Thauvin, Cabella, and Tiote, all of whom contributed far less than Sissoko. It's more that Wijnaldum in particular had a comparable attitude and contributed nothing aside from 4 against a shit Norwich side and a few other home performances. The criticism of him is far less vociferous, despite him being much more of a lazy, spineless prick imo. At least Sissoko didn't hide, there's nothing worse than a coward. Guest firetotheworks
Probably being a bit relentless and argumentative, because it's been done to death, but it does irk me like.

Obviously I exaggerate slightly, but my post was more in response to Ian's claim that Moussa's only failing was speaking to the French press. He failed us in so many ways it was almost laughable. Agree entirely that Wijnaldum was a pathetic waster as well. Probably the lesser of the two evils imo though.
Marmoset
The better players always get more criticism when results aren't going well. There's probably a psychological reason for it. Not that they both didn't have horrible games at times. Particularly Gini.
TRon
Think Wij playing deep has suited him and Liverpool. He could have played deep for us but it wouldn't have turned the rest of the team into Liverpool standard superstars. Apart from Colback of course. Yes. That's why I said it works for him, at Liverpool. So you now rate him then? I don't know what the 'real' Wijnaldum is tbh. For us he was an attacking player. And he spent most of his time hiding. At Liverpool he's playing in a role we never gave him, in a specialist system with much better players around him. So I don't know. It seems to be working so far at Liverpool. I don't rate Henderson higher than Wijnaldum and he seems successful in the same system. So Klopp knows a bit more about football than you do, fair enough I wouldn't argue with that. KaKa
Wijnaldum was absolutely shocking last season. Was far more offended by him than I was Moussa. Still don't know what he is as a player, and where you'd want him to play. Delighted we got so much for him and Moussa. Sensational stuff really. Guest Howaythetoon
Sissoko is a shit footballer, a typical MOTD highlights player. Watch him for 90 minutes over a season or so and you will see that he really is quite shit. 30m Dick Turpin wore a mask. We got more for Carroll, but this is the biggest sale in our history. Its like free money, money for nothing.
Guest firetotheworks
It's meaningless anyway. Different era in terms of the money in football, different circumstances and Ashley is the profiteer, not the squad.
Guest Howaythetoon
Sissoko not being in the first-team and around the squad is actually beneficial. He was a shit player for us and a bad apple!
Aiston
Would still have Sissoko over Diame.
U2
Would rather a better player than both.
Zero
I didnt have bad feeling for Winegum. He was adapting to the league under shit managers and I feel like he really wanted to contribute but he doesnt have that mental strength to handle the pressure of playing for an inferior team on the pitch. Sissoko is just shit. His attitude for playing is purely for showcases for future moves. His had been trying his best to grasp the highlight as mush as possible in expense of overall teamplay. I am very pleased to see sissoko leaving but not so much for Winegum.

Figures 1-0 Football
I remember when the Sissoko lovers on here used to claim his shit goals and assists tally was due to playing in a shit team under shit managers, well what is his excuse now? 14 appearances for France & Spurs since Euro 2016 started. 737 minutes of football 0 goals 0 assists A nothing footballer at this level, would do us a job in the Championship - but so can Colback.
