toontownman
Can't see Mapou being happy to sit out half a season just to stay there. On the flipside equally as stupid that we don't recall him when we need a CB. I guess the recall fee must be more money than we deem worth it.. Eg; 1p and up... We will absolutely play hardball with them. The club wants rid, if we recall him, Roma get money off us and maybe still get to sign him at a reduced fee in the summer. We will try and force their hand into playing him and activating his buy clause. No doubt Mapou and his agent will be pushing them as well.
Teasy
Not sure why we'd sell him to them at a reduced fee in the summer really. He's been great in Italy this season and if anything his value will have increased from what we agreed with Roma last summer. I'm sure other sides, especially in Italy, will have taken notice and more teams will be interested as well. Still 3 and a half years left on his contract here. Kanj
Find it quite odd in general that you can't recall a loan simply, it's an odd ruling. Even if a club pays you for their services.

Guess you have to protect the team loaning the player though. Say it got to Jan 31st and we just turned around and said we wanted him back, Roma would be screwed until the summer. Kanj
Yeah, no makes sense.
SEMTEX
If they've put a payment down for a one year loan of the player and you cancel it after a week, it would be a little harsh.
Kanj
Give them money back. Add penalty for breakage. Pro rate days or time spent there. Just think the loan process is archaic.
loki679
They have the rest of the season to try and knock the price down and if Ashley still won't budge then they simply just play him for 3 games and get him at the agreed price. It's a no lose situation for them, they can force a sale at any time they like so they might as well try and save a few quid if they can.
mrmojorisin75
Aye, like we'll be lucky enough to get rid of Pardew and MYM comes back. The club would be sold to ISIS the next day.
ponsaelius
Better than Ashley tbh
Kanj
Brilliant one sided buyer friendly no leverage deal by the club man.
Darth Crooks
I'd rather fund ISIS or Al Queda tbh. Right, that's a bunch of spooks kicking my door in then.

Not really a no lose though as they can't play him...except for 2 games. If they don't play him, then his stock has risen somewhat so we'd easily get the same fee. Only loser is Mapou bless him. Dokko
Maybe the Buyout is higher than reported? That combined with the loan fee and wages, Roma are starting to think they can get better for less. Or may be it is what it's reported and Roma don't rate him. Teasy
Or maybe they just don't want to have to trigger the clause in January? Obviously they rate him.
Mole_Toonfan
Plays every game before injury and then misses one game due to flu. Don't rate him though.

Teasy
Yanga-Mbiwa has played 17 of the 20 games needed to trigger the transfer and Roma have 4 more games in January.
