Aston Villa vs Newcastle - 29/01/13 @ 7:45pm - Not on TV

Recommended Posts

In theory we should absolutely dominate that midfield with Sissokho/Cabaye and Anita. We have enough movement and technique in them 3 to keep Villa chasing around. In practice however when including the Pardew factor, fuck knows how it will turn out.

I'm looking forward to seeing them 3 play though and hopefully a few runs forward from Sissokho, be great to have a box-to-box player, something we have definately been missing. Cabs on the ball, Cisse makes a run and Sissokho bombs on also - sounds fantastic. With Santon and Debuchy making runs on the wing and Gouffran hopefully moving about a fair bit also.

Reality - Ball back to Krul, Long ball to Cisse, Villa players pick it up - rinse and repeat :)

I was referring more to them having a gossip roundup page (which I find a bit cringeworthy anyway tbh) when the gossip is almost exclusively about their manager being sacked.

Aye, see your point.

Villa away right now is the easiest away game going this season, saying that, Reading at home was the easiest game you'll get all season as well and Pardew managed to fuck that one up.

Its going to be hard tomorrow, but i have full faith in Pardew finding a way to not win with the new players and added quality in the squad. Jonas & Ameobi starting will help, Cisse on the wing, or subbing attacking threats for defensive players, this guy has it all in his locker.

The only place they don't fly to is Sunderland.

Can't see a way their midfield can live with ours, he'll have to play about 7 in there to win the battle. Their forwards will pose a challenge to our CBs but hopefully Yanga-Mbiwa will play and cope.

Obviously I'm massively nervous, but we should be taking the points here.

As long as they all bed in and gel immediately, I 100% agree.
