Geordie Ahmed
Not impressed at all, worryingly looks so sluggish. A huge waste of money as things stand, could have signed a decent CM for that kind of money
AyeDubbleYoo
I don't think we would have signed either a CM or a CB, the club would believe we had enough on the books already. Whereas we still don't have enough wide options.
sempuki
Tried his luck a few times but was lazy tracking back. HBA is ten times the player.
Tooj
Weren't people saying all summer we desperately needed a winger though? So saying we didn't need him or somebody else is all good in hindsight. *obviously people will just state that we should have signed somebody else as he's shite despite being happy at the time*
AyeDubbleYoo
Yep, we definitely need a winger. I wouldn't write him off yet, hope he can do it.

When people say they want a player, they want a good player not any old player. Stop trying to be pedantic.
Jaqen
I'm not even convinced he's a winger, looks like he'd rather play through the middle to me. He lacks pace or the ability to beat a man out wide.
Ally
I'm hoping he just needs time to settle etc but except for a game against a League 2 team he's looked fucking woeful
Dave
I'm not writing him off. All I'm saying is that, in that exact moment in time, he was a heartless little floppy haired cunt. That's all.
Guest
He hasn't got the pace/acceleration/direct running ability to be a productive winger in this league. I think his best position would probably be in a free role behind the main striker but I'd have Ayoze/De Jong/possibly Gini ahead of him; that €17m would have been so much better spent elsewhere. Disco
It's not an excuse as such but it's never easy being a creative player coming in to a team playing like shit and being expected to turn it on straight away because so much rests on you. Mick
It's not an excuse as such but it's never easy being a creative player coming in to a team playing like s*** and being expected to turn it on straight away because so much rests on you. It didn't help him today that he came on so late.
Pilko
He's making Cabella look effective, fair play to the cunt cos that's some doing.
jimmymag
That weak as piss challenge that led to their 3rd goal has really turned me against this fucker! Can't see him ever making the grade in this league. And to think Hatem is burning up the French league...

I think he just needs to get the basics sorted first. Like using his body to shield the ball when he's under pressure - he could learn a lot from Wijnaldum in this regard. Also not making passes which are too easily cut out by the opposition. He looks shell shocked at the moment.
Hanshithispantz
I wasn't really paying much attention by the time he came on but I thought he showed a bit promise tbh. It is possible I was getting him and Perez mixed up like
Guest firetotheworks
Just like Cabella, he'll forever be measured against HBA and on that alone I think he's absolutely shit.

There's something in his lack of fear to try stuff with the ball that I like but he needs to get basic stuff right first. We could help by giving him game time when we're not up shit creek mind, assuming that comes along again.

Yeah he's trying to create which I can understand, but if you end up hitting defenders legs with every pass or shot then you better contribute defensively to compensate. He's like a poor man's Laurent Robert at the moment. All fart and no shit.
Scoot
I know it's still early days for this lad but he hasn't really shown anything yet which is worthy of a mention. The £12/13/14 million (whatever it was) could have been much better spend on an area of the team where we're desperate - A (Commanding) Centre half. Not writing the lad off yet though, that would just be stupid.
Toondave
Written him off. ^I do all sorts of stupid shit all the time. We've swapped cabella for Cabella -£12m. Inspired.

Holloway
What will a wide man who has no burst of pace, power or conviction do out wide? Amble around the paddock looking like a hybrid of Viana and Luque.
nufcjb
He's currently got a guaranteed spot in the flop of the season team. Unless he shows what he has in his locker, regardless of which position he plays, he can keep his place among the flops.
