localshop
We should be putting this lot away easily. I predict a 3-0 or 4-1 with Cisse bagging a couple. Why's that, like? Or, were you just joking? We are playing some decent stuff at the moment and they haven't played competitively since early December.

Dokko
I thought they were a pretty good team with a couple of good players? Take a win and a clean sheet all day long. Anything less and I think we will struggle in the return leg.
AlanSkÃrare
I'd go: Krul Santon Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Haïdara Tioté Anita Obertan Sissoko Marveaux Cissé
Neil
I thought they were a pretty good team with a couple of good players? Take a win and a clean sheet all day long. Anything less and I think we will struggle in the return leg. They are, last time I checked. Some pretty confident predictions in this thread. If you play well then yeah, you may well win, but you'd think Metalist were some pub team from some of the comments.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
we should have "put away" Atromitos, Brugges and Maritimo and we didn't. Not sure where this sudden surge in confidence is coming from, especially against a team we know very little about.
Elric
Metalist stickers all over the place when I was in town before. Saw a few of their fans standing around looking shifty for about 5 minutes before sticking one onto a bollard near the central library, like it was some major offence being committed
Mole_Toonfan
I doubt many people have seen them play before, i know i haven't. Which is why i'm extremely cautious about this game, really smacks of a team no ones heard of and they come and play us off the park.

Some mackem style arrogance going around it seems. that's never come back to bite us on the arse, ever. Hoping for the team to take it seriously, but also want to see soles changes. Tiote, Anita, Marv, Bigi & Mbiwa must start for me while I'd like to see some of Campbell as well.
morla84
1-0 up after 5 mins, then nervy for the next hour get the second and they will score in the last 5 minutes
Jill
1-0 up after 5 mins, then nervy for the next hour get the second and they will score in the last 5 minutes That sounds worryingly like a script NUFC would follow.
BeloEmre
Could it be Anita at right back tonight? Anita - Mbiwa - Saylor/Colo - Santon?

TaylorJ_01
Crikey, we sucked extremely hard until a couple weeks ago. We could still struggle, especially with this daft manager.
Guest Roger Kint
Could it be Anita at right back tonight? Anita - Mbiwa - Saylor/Colo - Santon? Good Shout Really? He has Simpson, Santon, Tavernier, Perch all able to play there. Surely he will pick Anita in CM rather than at RB? Have a feeling he will rest either Cabaye or Sissoko rather than shoehorn him there tbh.
ponsaelius
Quite nervous now, will be fucking gutted if we lose comfortably and I've got to go away next week to a dead rubber.
Skeletor
One of their goalkeepers wears #99. Clearly Vitor Baia in disguise.

BeloEmre
Please just keep a clean sheet today. Confident that we can score goals away from home.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Just passed a group of about 20 of them on Northumberland Street on my way back into work. Also a canny few kicking around on John Dobson Street for whatever reason.
STM
Pardew will feel the need to get Tiote, Marv, Mbiwa and Anita back in the side. God knows what he will do. I'd rest Santon but I don't think Pardew will.
