One of those penalties I hate to see given that. Clearly not deliberate. Still good for us like.

 

Like mackems yesterday, no need to have you hand outstretched. Probably not deliberate but should be given for defender stupidity IMO.

 

:thup: He's stopped a ball going into the box because his arm/hand is outstretched. Whether he means it or not he's gaining an advantage by having his arm there and blocking the ball.

 

 

I agree he gained an advantage, but it was clearly accidental and I don't think there's anything in the rules that allow accidental handball to be given.

If they allow decisions like this to go in favour of the defender, you'll have defenders flailing their arms all over the place in the hope that they get in the way of the ball, whilst claiming it was ball to hand.

Aye that's possible I suppose, probably the best argument for giving it. I just don't like to see the game changed because the ball is blasted off someone's hand from a yard.

seems to be a fairly clear distinction by refs, hands down by the side, not given, hands up/ waving around = pen.
