Dave
Personally I agree but it's a bit unprofessional to call him that in the URL.

Stifler
Redknapp will quit if he doesn't get Wayne Bridge where as QPR fans want Harry sacked if he does get Wayne Bridge.
Yorkie
Appoint Harry Redknapp and don't give him freedom over transfers. Can't get over how some football clubs can get things so spectacularly wrong at times.

joeyt
Can't see Redknapp lasting longer than Christmas at QPR. Even that will probably be a stretch

wormy
Appoint Harry Redknapp and don't give him freedom over transfers. Can't get over how some football clubs can get things so spectacularly wrong at times. Genius, isn't it? But at the same time, it sums him up. 'Just free transfers', like it's not going to add to a wage bill that was looking perilous even if they stayed in the PL. The man has no grasp of logic. Village Idiot
it's weird cos Albelda's #24 and always has been. I thought he was 6 He's always been #6. But he's an overrated bruiser that achieved legendary status by lingering around in the squad and kicking some shins in CRUUUUUNCHING tackles to the delight of home fans. Suppose it's like if Liverpool retired Carragher's shirt. Maaany better players to do that before getting to him. Anyway, it's probably just for the show, since La Liga restricts first team squad #s to 1-25, so if they want a squad of 25 players they'll need to give #6 to somebody. Guest neesy111
Snce when did we owe Ashley £267m? New report by Deloite claiming we do Isn't that the debt Ashley took off NUFC and the club owe's him that? Though that figure looks ridiculously huge. mattypnufc
We don't to my knowledge, isn't that the money owed (something like 111m) and the price he paid for NUFC?

Like matty says its £111m at this moment in time per the accounts. Any cost of buying the club shouldnt count. Deloite dont seem to have mentioned Manchester United's £370m debt in the article for some reason.....

There seems to be a tendency to include the cost of buying the club as part of the debt owed to Ashley which makes no sense to me.
Raconteur
Is the thinking that if Ashley were to sell then he would expect the money "owed" to him PLUS his initial stake, so as to break even? Because, if so, then it's a reasonable valuation because that would be the minimum price for which Ashley would sell?

No. Unless you think that Manchester United are in debt to their owners to the tune of £1bn+ Edit: And thats not taking into account the laughable notion that he would get that if he sold it. Fiftynotout
I can't stand 'arry Redknapp and suspect that he's been waiting for this as an excuse to resign. He couldn't resign when they were relegated as it would look like he admitted failure and his reputation would suffer - this way he resigns "on a point of principle" and then spouts off in the press and all his media mates before conning another sucker owner into giving him a job.
