jollof rice and pea
Is it fair to say Pep Guardiola failed at Bayern Munich? Par imo. Absolutely dominated the Bundesliga and leaves behind a better squad though probably not a better first team. A pen away from the final, Heyneckes got their via a shooutout. Replacing the skill and power of Robben Ribery and Schwein big issues hes leaving behind for Ancelotti though.

bhoywhonder
Club shop closing in the Metro Centre. Mike Ashley's pulling all his concerns from Intu centres over a rent dispute. That's why Tat Direct pulled out of both Eldon Square and Metrocentre, where I think he owned some smaller stores probably also gone (Tucci? Van Mildert? Wouldn't know, never go to the M/c anymore)

Figures 1-0 Football
Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says a dressing-room mole is "damaging" the 25-time German champions, after details of an alleged row were made public. German newspaper Bild claims Guardiola was angry with Bayern's medical team after Tuesday's Champions League semi-final exit to Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard is alleged to have accused his physiotherapists of taking too long to get his players fit after injury. "Whoever has spoken has done it to hit me," said Guardiola. The former Barcelona boss is leaving Bayern in the summer to take over at Manchester City. Bayern will win a third successive Bundesliga title under the 45-year-old if they win at Ingolstadt on Saturday. When asked at his news conference on Friday, Guardiola did not deny a row had happened. "Usually what happens inside the dressing room remains inside the dressing room," he said. "But I'm not here next season anyway so it's not my problem, but Bayern's. "It's happened plenty of times over these past three years. "It's normal for me to talk to my players and staff and give them my opinion, but there are people here who are talking because they want to hurt me. "Maybe this person will still be here next season and clearly they haven't realised that they are not damaging me, but the club and the team." Guardiola won the Champions League twice with Barcelona - in 2009 and 2011. "I've done my best here," he said of his time at Bayern. "But if you say that I had to win the Champions League, then I have failed. "Go ahead and write that I have failed." Interesting line that one like, in bold. Sounds like the toys are well out of the pram.

Frazzle
It's still a challenge trying to win league titles with top clubs to be fair. Only time will tell how good a manager Guardiola is but so far he's doing pretty well. It's not like he's some chancer who's turning up at clubs and just watching top players win games for him. Winning at top clubs is still difficult hence why Mourinho messed up at Chelsea this season, Pellegrini at Man City this season, Klopp at Dortmund last season, Ancelotti couldn't even win the title when he first took over PSG. Bayern and Barca are obviously huge clubs in their respective countries but they don't win the league every year, that's just a fact. Bayern have never won the league four times in a row (I don't think) and are going to now (Heynckes x 1, Pep x 3), the last time they won three in a row was 98-01. When Guardiola agreed to join Bayern they hadn't won the treble, they were probably top but the season before they finished 8 points off the pace. Barca finished 18 points off the title the year before Guardiola came. Yes, he had some amazing players but Guardiola brought Pique, Busquets and Pedro in. Guardiola changed Messi's position, got rid of Ronaldinho and Eto'o. He wasn't just standing around while everyone did the work for him.
Guest Howaythetoon
He's obviously as good as any, but you have to look at his success and what he has achieved and realise that he has had it good, very good indeed. If a manager could win the lottery, he did and twice. He wont find it as easy at City which I think he has done at Bayern and especially Barca. People bemoan the PL, but its tough, unforgiving and its extra competitive these days. As a comparison, I prefer Klopp over Guardiola. The latter is obviously a better coach or manager or whatever, but I think someone like Klopp will succeed at a club under various constraints where as Guradiola needs certain elements to be in place to succeed.
