if they were to go down would we want them down at the earliest possible opportunity or to put up a smidgen of a fight with them having hope till the last game or so ?

Down ASAP for me.

don't see the point in moving it but keeping it on the saturday. it's not like anyone will be more sober. moving it to the sunday I can understand as there are a lot fewer people in town.

Just be out drinking a few hours longer that day, smart move.

Not worried at all, we're in a good position, Sunderland are the ones desperate for every single point, all the pressure on them.  Even if they somehow manage to beat us they're still going down :morph:

Good question, which would you choose in their situation?

Since when was football a choice? You can try and win both.

Naturally. But I reckon we ask ourselves this question with hindsight in mind. Which would you rather have focused on and won? etc..

Again, you go into the first game trying your best and then worry about the next. Dont know why there should be a choice to 'focus on'.

Fulham (A), Saints (H), Stoke (H) as their next 3 games before us. Got to be looking to get at least 4 points as bare minimum from those after their Villa defeat and others, WHU aside (LOL), more or less matching the Christmas form.

EDIT: judging by RTG n all they're struggling to shift tickets for the semi v Man United.

Agree with your first points, but I reckon if they beat us they will stay up, as it will give them the boost they need, just like we gave them last season - had we beat them, im sure they would be in the Championship now.

I fully expect them to get at least a drawer, Pardew doesn't have the mentality for this game.

Complete role reversal, I was always nervous but they always lost their bottle so deep down knew we would probably win. Not any more :(
