Revolution Number 9
Loads of talk of battles, ambushes and 'driving West Ham back into the sea' It's a bunch of fat, p*ssed middle aged men trying to punch eachother you tools. That reads like a s*** ghost story. "But that girl has been dead for 20 years!!" They love that s*** on the shortbus, old lags drawing the young miscreants near for a tale of wrong-do-ery round the virtual campfire. "Arrrrrr boy, we don't talk 'bout the battle of North Shields Ferry round these parts... those scurvy mags did summon a Kraken, a Kraken I tells thee. Brought forth from the filthy depths to drag our brave boys down. Also, some of them had pool cues..."
Ryan_Taylor
They love a good hooligan thread on RTG Apparently, Tottenham's mob kept a scrapbook the season of the "brush game". It had pictures and cuttings of them taking the p*ss at 20 grounds that season. Someone who saw it asked "Wait a minute, wasn't there 21 aways that season", "Yes came the reply, the other was Sunderland". Loads of talk of battles, ambushes and 'driving West Ham back into the sea' It's a bunch of fat, p*ssed middle aged men trying to punch eachother you tools. Are they trying to say that they were too afraid to take the p*ss in Sunderland? Yep
Paully
Rodwell - ha ha ha ha! 'If I’d been playing regularly for the last two years, I believe I probably would have been up there as one of best players in the world,' he said. 'I certainly think I would have been playing at the World Cup. It’s just not worked out over the last two seasons and that’s why I am here at Sunderland now.' He sounds like Ben Arfa, I hope he doesn't turn out like him. As for some of the goons on RTG, I've got most of them on ignore.

Tiresias
There's a good player in Rodwell imo, my Everton mate reckons he could have made (or could still I suppose) a great centre back one day. Sunderland's problem is it looks like they're going to be totally reliant on adam johnson for goals.

'If I’d been playing regularly for the last two years, I believe I probably would have been up there as PA to the PA, to the PA of the big boss,' he said. 'I certainly think I would have been at least deputy shift supervisor at the Tesco's down the road. It’s just not worked out over the last two seasons and that’s why I am here at Sunderland now.' Ste
Essentially what Rodwell has said: "my career is a bit fucked up due to injury and not playing, hence why I'm at Sunderland."

Brilliant that bit man. Basically I'm here to try and be injury free for a bit then fuck off at the first opportunity and pretend Sunderland never happened
Klaus
He is nowhere near the first player to do this during their career, but is one of the first to admit it before they have even played their first game

It’s just not worked out over the last two seasons and that’s why I am here at Sunderland now.' Bent thought it. Gyan thought it. Adam Johnson thought it. I imagine even O'Neill thought it. But Rodwell said it. sunderland - the safety net when things don't quite work out.

Turned down a new contract, which possible suggests the latter - nothing concrete yet though as far as I know.
Disco
George Caulkin @CaulkinTheTimes 8m Would expect Wickham to leave #Safc if they can get a decent fee for him. Miles apart on wages etc & won't let him see out contract. Big blow that
Unbelievable
Sunderland have been strangely quiet this summer in terms of incomings. Surely they must be planning to bring a few more in?
