It seems we need that little of bit of magic to get players over the line these days.

No magic, just an real effort...

Pardew feeling the full wrath of his failings last year.. he is obviously deemed on the same level in fans in terms of respect.

"Well we tried hard to get Bent for you Alan.. we know he was your number one target, but its maybe just not meant to be"

2m ffs.  That said, I like our style.

65k a week is pretty stupid though.

Can only call it as I see it but with Kinnear in as DoF, a half arsed attempt to sign Bent, a loan offer for a striker facing trial for rape, faffing about to sign Gomis and a few bodies out the door make this an awful transfer window so far. Seeing teams we should have no worries about finishing above strengthen significantly is a huge worry. I worry about playing Norwich next season ffs.

One month to strengthen, a pre season wasted in terms of bedding in new faces, and still the prospect of one or two more being sold if the right price is met. With each day that goes by, the more the first few games of the season become a write off. We desperately need a good start.

The pissing about on Gomis is annoying and we certainly need to get a move on with transfers.  But I don't see why you're so negative regarding Remy, he's a quality player and if we do get him on loan with a pre-agreed future transfer fee it'll be a great deal surely?  The body's out the door so far are Simpson, Harper and Perch and I bet you wouldn't be looking to replace any one of them this summer.  There's been no indication that anyone else will leave outside of Gosling, and he's another one nobody will miss.

So Fulham are offering twice what we are in wages. Sorry, but he was never going to come here for £30k a week. Why did we even bother our arses if it was £2million and £30k pw?

So in early September our management can say 'We tried to bring in players, but business is tough in the summer window and we couldn't get them ove.....' - f*** it I'm not completing that f***ing arsehole's soundbite.

Oh aye I agree. It's all stalling tactics. They must think we're fuckin stupid. Remember the bids for Michael Johnson and Kieran Richardson. We're doing nothing until this fat cunt leaves. So depressing.

if they feel like that then they should sack him, these attempts to sabotage him only hurt the club and if it leads to JFK taking over (which it will) it will lead to relegation

It looks like Kinnear and Pardew were also miles apart in their valuations.

Won't be the only thing they are miles apart on.

Hope this gives us a kick up the arse to get other deals done.

The other positive way to look at it is if we fail to sign Remy or Gomis we now don't have to worry about the possibility of Darren Bent 'strutting his stuff' at St James' next season.

We're so small-time it's unreal. Zero ambition, zero investment, we're now 100% bottom-feeders - feeding on the scum.

We can't even be arsed to spend the money we generate let alone any money our owner provides to push the club forward. We're £750k in the black since the season finished 2 and a half months ago.

At least we didn't waste an entire month finding out we couldn't buy or pay him.

shouldn't people be happy given the amount of at best annoyance at worst outrage of the idea of signing bent on here?

Bent's not the issue. The club has descended into a pathetic shambles and is being run lock stock and barrel by an alcoholic lunatic with a heart condition with zero experience of the job he's employed to do.

We'll just have to worry about Shola 'strutting his stuff' instead, IF his arthritic hip can last past pre-season.

But we were the biggest spenders in January, midds.  We're 5 minutes from having to sack the tea ladies here, have a bit of perspective.

Whether he is worth it or not, I expected a bid around £5m plus £50k a week to get Bent. If we did get him on that I'd be ok with it as it's another decent striker on our books and we need them asap. £2m plus £30k a week is hilarious. May as well offer them £2.50 and a Twix on top for a our next bid.

You think our owner would give up a Twix like?

I'm not really sure what we are playing at here, unless it was an attempt to make Fulham look like over-spending mugs. Fine if we don't want him, out of the three targets he's the one I'd least want, but why pursue him in the first place unless it was to placate Pardew?

Good shout, Pardew will have to chip in and part with his.

By their own reporting principles, we're actually millions in the black (including wages).
