We have no patience in possession or confidence in our ability to hold onto the ball. Everything is either long or straight to the furthest man forward even if he has no one around him to pass it to.

As Elliot lumps the ball as much as Krul can we conclude the Hoofs are Pardew's fault?

No because he's not being backed, his GK have to hoof it.

Mixed up defence is weak on both sides, Marv and Buchy on the right dont seem to speak the same language and Good and Dummet look a little nervous and inexperienced but improved as the half went on, Sammy on the left best player by far and good effort from Gouff.  Vuckic cant hold water, everything bounces off him and he has had an awful half.  Honourable mention for Gosling, finally found something he can do well, clearances off the line.  Like the look of Mbiwa at the back brtinging the ball out and avoiding another hopeless hoof and Elliott has been first class in goal.  Desparate for confidence and a goal to quicken up the passing in the second half and Sameobi is the onely candidate to score.  Fingers crossed for Pardew half-time team talk improvement.

Hanging on by our teeth here, fringe players not stepped up to mark, bar Sammy who looks our best bet. Has it really come to this - being out played by Morecambe?! The way the club treats domestic cups is little short of a disgrace.

That's Pardew or whoever the manager is imo.
