Dan Gleebals Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Brilliant draw. Avoided the Premier League teams and got the home tie. There's a few Premier League sides against each other too, so there'll be some good sides getting put out. We've got to go full strength and go for the cup this year. Could be as many as 12 Prem teams left in the last 16 though. Looking at last seasons cup winners, you have to say the mid to lower level teams performed well so there is merit in really going for it as the big 6 chase the top 4 positions for obvious reasons. We all know Pardew wont go full strength in either cup though because our league position will no doubt be woeful and of bigger concern. On the basis of this season so far, and all of last season, our strongest team will be no match for most of the prem teams that could stay in the cup this year.
