NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

For a club trying to show the supporters that they have changed and everything is all rosey and happy... It's a pretty piss poor effort to have not even installed a backroom team yet.

We've been researching signings for months, have we not? Therefore it should be a case of making the deals happen early and getting everyone in for pre-season.

We are ridiculously bad on transfer deadline day and rarely ever make signings on it (we do sell though, if the ££ are right) so I have no hope for any late deals.

Bit worrying that the only two centre backs we have been linked with are unproven in the premiership. Linked with Lewis Dunk in the "media partner", today. He any good?

Dunk is a good player. Went a bit off the rails after being charged with sexual assault (was cleared) and came back into things much better this year. Was one of the stand out players in what was a pretty poor season for Brighton. Is a big guy who is very strong in the air. Would be a hell of an improvement on the 'big lump' style defender ala Williamson.

It's partly the fact that we rarely have (m)any new signings playing a decent preseason with us. Every summer we reflect on numerous previous transfer windows of little transfer activity that has left the squad short by sitting on our hands wondering how long until the fans notice and go mad. With tens of millions in the bank. It's bullshit, but it's our deceitful, backwards transfer policy.

Think Dost will be the first player in. For no particular reason, probably that tart from a previous page.

Just has the hallmark of a Carr deal. Player we've been linked with before, from a country we have signed from before for a fee we have paid before. 9m sounds right up our strasse.

If he is on his own, it's not enough.

Whenever I saw Hull particularly the season before last I was always impressed with him actually.

Never a starter but as a back-up right-back/right-winger, I don't see the harm for £4m.

He's basically a better version of what we tried to do with Gouffran but on the other side and with crossing ability.

Basing it on 6-7 games I've seen over 2 years where I've seen him as a decent threat with a good cross. I'd take him as back up. We'd probably see him as Janmaat's replacement though. :yao:
