Guest Roger Kint
Ha ha, you so stupid Kanji!! He did make a pretty stupid statement though, Remy proved players will sign for a side staring at relegation just because you offer them more money. Amazed he cant see that simple point to be honest Think the point he's making is because, despite their position, their owner was willing to throw more money at players than their competitors in this league, not just offering a dime more than they get in Turkey or France or wherever where nobody else is offering as much on the continent. Key difference is we aren't. At least Fernandez had ambition (despite it blowing up spectacularly). We don't. If we were bottom you dont think we would compete for players? That was the only point i made, Remy went to the bottom side for money and others will do the same to us in that position. Unreal the amount of debate this got cos Kanji asked a daft question ffs

He wouldn't have if we were bottom of the league with s*** a s*** squad/ownership/management though. Totally. We were on the verge of greatness when he joined us. After Euro96, Shearer could have signed for any club in the world, but in no way would it have been us if we were propping up the league with a cockroach owner, a bunch of fantasists and half-wits for an anorexic backroom staff and a manager who has a decade of rapidly diminishing returns under his seven-follicle quiff. Hell, even Obertan would turn his nose up at us now.

sempuki
Have we had a transfer summit yet? That's the main thing. Think we need 5 myself - replacements for Colo, Tiote, Cisse and Sissoko who can all be beaten then flogged. Think we also need a LB too. That's if we are serious about staying up. maze
To put it simple: If the club continues to pursue players soely on the basis of contract length and re-sale value - there is really no hope at all.

"A new multi-billion pound Premier League TV deal kicks in next season, and the financial imperative of top-flight survival could see previous checks and balances on the club’s recruitment over-ridden." see, f***ing hell, you just know that we'll now go and sign 2015's version of f***ing kevin nolan for 25m and whoever else because they're english and play in the league, and then we'll get relegated anyways They knew this TV deal was on the cards ages ago, they should have spent the money on players in the summer and actually hired a manager who wanted to take the club forward. Its the whole "do the bare minimum" again, then panic when the bare minimum is well below what is needed to stay in the league. Shit owner Shit Charnley (I don't know what his job is) Shit Scout Shit Manager shit everything.
