After first-choice goalie Tim Krul was ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, Steve McClaren has been frantically trying to work out who to bring in as cover, and it appears as if Valdes could be the man for the Magpies.

The only thing stopping a potential deal? Valdes' nemesis, Louis van Gaal, is not willing to terminate the Spaniard's contract if he plans to leave for a domestic rival.

We're not a threat to you Louis. Just let it happen.

Surely the way McShteve has been licking Van Gaal's balls in the media will have tickled the latter's massive ego and he may just let Valdes go? Either way, don't see the PL itself allowing this, since we have 9 registered keepers or something.

PL cannot stop it if his contract is terminated can they?

They can before January as we registered the full 25 man list

We need him, or someone like. We'll go down with Elliott in goal until January, no doubt about it.

Unless Elliott (and probably Woodman, while Darlow is injured) gets injured, that's what we have regardless

Newcastle United have held their first transfer summit ahead of the January window, and they'll again target players whose contracts are nearly up

What a suprise

The first sign of madness is to continue doing what you're doing in spite of failure. Or something. King George doesn't have an inch on these fucking cunts.

'Valdes open to Newcastle move'...no quotes at all.

Would love it to happen and I'm pretty sure he'd jump at the chance to come here but I just can't see us going in for him.

We'd be absolute mugs if we don't like. So yeah, can't see it :okay:
