Guest firetotheworks
Love Kenny Senior so much like. I crease every single time he rings his mam that he hasn't seen in years to ask a question that's on the pub quiz. "Yeah, yeah, sorry I couldn't make the funeral, Listen, what's the capital of Peru?" Or something like that.
ben-nufc
"You'll never guess who was in the tent next to us? Robert de Niro. He's doing another Dear Hunter in Rhyll. Absolutely hammered him at swingball."

LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/benfica-midfielder-newcastle-talks-filip-djuricic/ Benfica Midfielder In Newcastle Talks by Jackie Smithfield Portuguese newspaper Jogo, has reported that the agent of Benfica midfielder Filip Djuricic met senior Newcastle officials in London last week. The two footed midfielder is 22 and can also play as a second striker, having previously made his name with Heerenveen in the Dutch League, clocking up 28 assists and 26 goals in 111 matches. A Serbian international, he currently has four goals in fifteen appearances for the national team. The move to Benfica last summer hasn’t been the greatest success and due partly to differences of opinion with the Portuguese club’s coach, Djuricic hasn’t started a league match since November. For a number of reasons I can see this particular transfer story having more legs than most. Firstly, after Cabaye left in January it was stated that Newcastle were close to signing the midfielder, with even Benfica’s coach, Ulisses Santos, saying at the time; “It is true about Newcastle, I’ve been speaking with Alan Pardew this week and so let us see what happens by the end of tomorrow (Friday).” (which was at the end of the January transfer window). The clubs were said to not have been able to agree a deal in the time available. In addition of course is the fact that the player appears to have no future at Benfica with only occasional substitute appearances coming his way. Finally of course is the fact that Newcastle are desperate to bring in players and while Djuricic cost 6m Euros last summer, clearly his value will have been harmed by his wasted year in Portugal and there must be every chance of Mike Ashley driving a hard bargain for the player. I can see little deviation from a route going forward of a combination of loan signings and more risks on players who are seen as damaged goods, either through ongoing injury problems and others such as Djuricic who have lost their way but can be seen as growing in value if gambles pay off. Ste
He'll be shifted out to the wing then ostracised for not tracking back enough because our full backs can't be trusted.
r0cafella
Ayoze is being linked again, according to the journal he'd go in the development squad which means he will disappear into oblivion ala Bigi
loki679
It'd be a real fillip if we got Djuricic like.

Shayno
Djuricic would be interesting. Can't help but think back to the 2011/2012 Heerenveen team that finished 5th in the Eredivisie on the back of attacking football. Bas Dost, Luciano Narsingh, Oussama Assaidi and Filip Djuricic were all fantastic that season. Narsingh hasn't looked the same player and has had two disappinting seasons at PSV, where he is now a squad player. Assaidi didn't make the grade at Liverpool, but has looked ok on loan at Stoke this season. Bas Dost has been hampered by injuries this season but has also looked pretty average at Wolfsburg. Maybe Djuricic was the player most important to their success?
Unbelievable
I haven't really paid attention to Djuricic when he played at Heerenveen (barely follow Eredivisie nowadays), but kust checked a fan forum and they appear to think he was one if the best players in the competition, technically superb, often played as a winger, but not as effective as he should be in terms of goals and assists. Could be an interesting player for us by the sounds of it.

Skeletor
Sounds like we'd concede too many goals with him in the team. Best find a nice, minging defensive winger instead.

loki679
@MsiDouglas: Also in today's #nufc piece: Benfica man Djuricic not a priority target. Colback's reps, however, are in talks. Would replace Gosling That's just an absolutely massive
TheHoob
Christ Don't know why they bothered buying Bigi, what a waste for him. Pards and Mike piping eachother off because they've found another midfielder they can play at full back.
