Tried to watch a game or two from Sparta last year as they were tearing up their local league. Thought the standard was quite poor.

More tactical football than anything else. Strategies and all that.

That would mean United would just have to thrash out the transfer fee and complete the deal with his agent in terms of fees.

Oh, is that all?  No problem, we're good at that stuff.

"The Chronicle understands that Newcastle United managing director Lee Charnley has pushed hard to see the deal through for the 20-year-old, and the transfer is all but done."

he's a 1.5m nobody man, why are the chron of all papers making out like he's pulling off the fucking italian job?

Think the Cabella deal might come good. That article is saying we've agreed personal terms, which is usually a good sign, as it doesn't tend to get to that stage unless negotiations with the club are heading in the right direction, and they allow permission to speak to the player.

I think in reality clubs tend to speak to the player first to agree terms to make sure it's worthwhile them bothering with a transfer bid to the club. At least that's what I've read before, I'm no expert and could be wrong.

'HBA maybe be better off moving clubs to get what he needs from playing and to get back to his best'

Wow ... well that's a ringing endorsement for the bozo in charge isn't it.

What a ball-breaking wheeler dealer Lee Charnley is. Whisked Ayoze right from out under the noses of Notts Forest and Dijon FCO

We seem to be happy to spend £1.5m on complete unknowns that we hope to get lucky with but so far none of those unknowns we have paid money for can be said to have been successful and we must have made a loss on most of them.  Yet going £1-2m above what we deem to be the value of a player for whom you are almost certainly going to get your money back and more than likely make a profit, they refuse to budge.

Ayoze is highly rated unlike amalfitano.

The issue isnt the fact we are buying younger players its the terrible manager we have
