Kanj
According to the Chronicle we have no interest in Joel Matip. Didn't even bother waiting for the window to open before closing it on ourselves Spent all summer talking about it, spent post summer to now saying we were def interested and now not? Hi Klaus, that player you really don't want to sell... Yeah, we really want to buy him, so you can slap an extra 7 or 8 million onto what you would have otherwise considered. Guest palnese
We want €800k for Gouffran according to GNF. Lille interested.
Teasy
Should just give him away if necessary, we'd save more than that in wages from now till the end of the season.
Jesse Pinkman
Considering the club won't buy until we sell. Apparently its policy not to have more than 25 players on the books, then let's hope he is moved on quickly.
timeEd32
McClaren: “You know that this is a private club that doesn’t do it’s business through the media or publicly. So there are things going on behind-the-scenes and we keep them very quiet. “(We’ll) focus on the two games we have got before the January window opens and even then we keep everything private and confidential. No doubt you (the media) will speculate as much as possible but we will say nothing is happening until it does.” He was definitely told to shut the fuck up. Carlito
McClanger will probably be speculating on who we bring in more than the media will.

And I would have no issue as such with this, except the club has set precedent in this area by lowering expectations and not buying anyone at all. There is nothing wrong with him saying "things are always discussed behind the scenes but we don't discuss it publically".
Disco
Wonder if we'll go back in for Diego '4 goals in 21 appearances' Rolan in Jan.

You can't have people this clueless in charge of a football club for so long and keep getting away with it. It's just not right, nor is it fair to those clubs that actually want to succeed. Matt
Paul Dummett and Jamie Sterry also offer further cover while Kevin Mbabu’s versatility across the back four has also left the Magpies’ backroom team in agreement that new faces are needed elsewhere on the pitch. So we can rely on a guy who's played a couple of games and one who's never played before should we find ourselves in last-ditch relegation battle. Why do we need attackers then? There are strikers in the youth team, we can just play them.
Teasy
Course they won't give Taylor a new contract. Ashley's a Footballing moron no doubt, but even he will see that paying someone millions every year to be constantly injured is a waste of money. Teasy
In other words Taylor is back until the summer. So they hope he can stay fit until his contract runs out and they can shift him out and bring someone in with the wages they would be paying him. Pathetic attitude really, especially since our current center back pairing isn't good enough to begin with. Can only hope its a case of playing things down so clubs don't think we're desperate for a new defender. But in reality their's almost no chance of that being the case. Yorkie
If we're aiming for 17th we've probably got just-about enough cover at the back providing we get a good CM.
mrmojorisin75
Could live with not going after a CB if they went all in for a top class CM. Going after neither would be taking the absolute piss tbh.
