AY
So who is leaving to recoup the spending? Tiote I would say is first out the door. hope so Would rather sell Anita, but looks like Tiote.

thenige
Townsend can impress in flashes without doubt, but shoots so often from crazy places. Berahino I just don't rate and think his attitude stinks. Just feel like some of these signings reek of panic. Feel like we're starting to look a bit like QPR in waiting. Really hope I'm wrong and it's just the recent negativity getting to me, just seem like the wrong type of signings for the wrong amount of money. Ketsbaia
I just don't see the point in Townsend. We do need width, but not him. More like a modern day Keith Gillespie.

mrmojorisin75
Do they still exist? It's a fair question that actually. Who is a wide player in the league that you think of who consistently puts in accurate, quality crosses? Because that's what we need to get more out of Mitrovic. La Parka
Navas though he blasts low crossess mainly.
Guest
To be honest though if you've got two full-backs with good delivery you can still make it work. Look at Everton with Baines, Coleman & Lukaku.
themanupstairs
Navas though he blasts low crossess mainly. Except he's gash and not a very good crosser of the ball. Antonio Valencia did it for a while before being Fergie'd.

Almost hate to say it, but judging from last night Ashley Young still knows how to cross. Shame he's been converted into a full back and is a diving little punk. AY
Full backs are usually so attacking that no team use traditional wingers that much. McClean or whatever at West Brom.. Ritchie maybe?

Collage
Thauvin has shown signs of being a classic winger who can put in good crosses, tbf.

toontownman
Remy staying at Chelski til the summer. Insert sad face here: Think we have to go domestic. Think Austin is too similar to mitrovic to play alongside him long term but would be short term boost. Personally I'd rather we stuck we Mitro. We need someone to compliment him that could play alongside him and also hold his own as needed. Going foreign is a too big a gamble imo.
Lush Vlad
I'd rather we invested £18m on some foreign player that may be good. Than £18m on Berahino, who I really don't rate at all. Not saying that's the only option, like. But we keep getting linked.

Haven't seen enough of Austin to judge the similarties and differences between what he and Mitrovic bring, but do recall strong seemingly valid arguments that Ferdinand and Shearer were too similar to play together... toontownman
I'm only worried we are predominantly being linked with strikers that are lone target men. We already gave that imo. Think Mitro will be boosted by the goal and raring to go on Saturday.
