Colleen won’t want him round the house. Punditry beckons. I thought he was ok at that during the Euros.

There could be a vacancy at Old Trafford shortly, mind the competition could be strong, Steve Bruce for e.g.

Not sure on how credible this is mind…

Pity they got someone else in so soon - Amorin should have asked for a 'probation' period - he'd have been back there by now or is he waiting for the summer - send Manure down and then leave an already well sinking ship.

You know what - I'd do it just to piss Sir Jim Ratcliffe off big time - fucking loser - football is a business - but not like any other - you can't come in - cut costs, raise prices and expect everything to be rosy.

That other bidder, the arab one - bet they are laughing on the other side of their faces after seeing this debacle carrying on.

I'd say they're laughing as they're going to get us for much less than they thought.

Rooney gone, official.

Basically all of us said it at the start of the season, mental appointment and he's left them bottom of the league. Surely after Birmingham and now this that's his managerial career done?

Yeah, Plymouth did it in the hope that it would gain shirt sales etc.

I don’t think Rooney has that kind of following.

They needed someone to steady it, and to build. Instead it looks like all that hard work is going to go down the drain and they’ll get relegated back to League One.

You’d be an idiot to employ him as a manager now.

He couldn’t provide period of funds, so it’s not going to happen.

I said it all along, that he wasn’t as rich as he made out to be, and if he did takeover you, then it would be on tick.

Until Kuwait, or Bahrain come in for their piece of football, you aren’t getting an Arab takeover, not one that isn’t just a hedge fund consortium in anyway.

I don't want an arab takeover.

Just think it's inevitable.

I’m not so sure anymore.

I think since PIF took us over, it has made the countries left think twice. They can’t now just spend as much as they want like Man City, and PSG have.

You, Liverpool, and Chelsea have been on the market since our takeover, and all you got was that guy who couldn’t provide proof of funds, and who it took the media a while to figure out if he really existed.

We're not really on the market. We never were. The Glazers don't want to sell.

If I was a billionaire and had the option of buying Newcastle for £305m or Man United for £6b, I know what I'd do.

If I was a billionaire and I had the option of buying us, or Man Utd, I’d buy Man Utd and send you fuckers down to non-league.

Well either you Liverpool.

Surprised Rooney and his massive fat heed lasted so long.

Wouldn't be that surprised if he landed another job in English football tbh. A big name seems to be an easy option when owners don't really have any other idea what recruitment entails.

Fonseca sacked at Meelan, Conceicao to replace him.

Wow. Missed this yesterday.

Think Concecaio is going to do really well there.

Sad for Fonseca. Just wasn't doing a good enough job.

Even with how shit he is, you'd imagine with the backing and a core group of players, Rooney should be able to get Man Utd promoted.

I'm staggered at how how he actually gets a job in football management.  I might give it a go.  If he can do it ........ canny money aswell.

You answered the question in your own post as the reason he gets jobs in football management is the same reason you won't get them, because he used to be an okay+ player once upon a time and club owners still haven't realized that having played the game doesn't automatically translate to knowing how to be a manager in the game.
