Figures 1-0 Football
I really don't think he is that solid at all. He's been promoted 4 times, but he's also been relegated 3(?) times. He's very similar to Allardyce in terms of achievements, basically nothing and seems to be given a higher reputation than others built on nothing other than being a PFM. That said, he's a much better option than Clarke
Figures 1-0 Football
It's a good opportunity to use my favourite image of Bruce though.
Ronaldo
What are you going on about now, man? He's a succesful manager at Championship level. Of course it's a solid appointment.

They could go abroad but that's a big risk unless they know what they're doing, which I don't suspect this Xia lad does.

Hanshithispantz
"Would you rather have your complex heart surgery done by a foreign doctor with thousands of similar operations under his belt or a British nurse who has assisted at nearly 1000 procedures spread over 24 years? If you answer the latter, then congratulations for you are Theresa May and you are the most powerful woman in Britain."
Figures 1-0 Football
What are you going on about now, man? He's a succesful manager at Championship level. Of course it's a solid appointment. Villa's fans and owner want instant results. Steve Bruce will be sacked before he gets Villa promoted, therefore it's not a solid appointment. A solid appointment would be getting in someone who can have the opportunity to rebuild from scratch including everything behind the scenes (as we have done with Rafa). Bruce wont be given that opportunity or time to do it so it's just a pointless appointment.
Hanshithispantz
He joined Birmingham and had them instantly promoted like. EDIT: Hull too
Foluwashola
Agree that he's very solid at this level like. Having said that, if he and Aston Villa can join hands and walk off into the abyss, that would be a toppa.

KaKa
That article is amazing 'The players simply need to work harder, run more' That should be the official tag line of the PFM Imagine actually giving that answer to the question of how to get Swansea out of the relegation battle, at your official job interview. Absolutely unreal! A response any clueless gimp on the street could utter back.

You need to start reading the guff you come out with, man.

brummie
Villa's fans and owner want instant results. Steve Bruce will be sacked before he gets Villa promoted, therefore it's not a solid appointment. What utter bullshit. We've won 4 league matches from our last 51. Try finding other fans who have put up with worse than that. We don't want "instant" results, we just want the faint hope of a result every now and then. The thing about this side is it isn't actually that bad. We have turned 5 or 6 wins into draws in the last five minutes of matches. Fix that and there's a huge improvement straight away. Bruce would be a good shout.
Leazes_End_Mag
Still gobsmacked Dr Tony hasn't went for Allardyce. He's a better manager than Bruce and Tony doesn't seem fully minded anyways.
