Theregulars
Losing him and Mbeumo in the same month will be a big test of how well-run Brentford are. Can see them flushing but also unearthing some 36 year old Belgian metrosexual who takes them to Europe

Hanshithispantz
Frank's about the ideal appointment for them for us imo. Don't think he has enough to make them a consistent force but he'll pick points off our champions league rivals.
La Parka
As shown by other clubs - you can't lift the Brentford or Brighton model by taking one of the components. You need to bring the whole team - data, analysis, scouting etc.

NUFCDoog
Brentford in big trouble next sesson like, especially with the players they're losing, gives the 3 promoted sides a slightly higher chance of making a fight of it.

Also think Bournemouth are in trouble, losing Huijsen, Zabaryani and Kerkez and possibly Semenyo in one window is an absolute disaster for them. Ketsbaia
Brentford losing these, Wolves selling Cunha/Ait-Nouri, Fulham maybe losing Silva. There's definitely some nervousness that one of these will keep a promoted side up.

To be where they are now after what they had under Pochettino is not well-run. I still think managers have under performed, Levy can take the blame for appointing them but he has supplied them with one of the best stadiums and training grounds in the world along with the 4th highest transfer budget. Think Silva would have only gone to Spurs, not sure there’s a better gig available which offers him what he has at fulham. Stifler
22 hours ago, leffe186 said: There has been some pretty solid discussion about the key reason Qatar haven’t bought us yet being Levy wanting to stay on and run the place. Qatar aren’t interested. It’s been about a year since Staveley left NUFC and was rumoured to be bringing the Qatari’s to you, and nothing has happened. Your Qatari links go back much further as well. Qatar also passed on Man Utd with that Jasim guy, who at best couldn’t prove proof of funds, and at worst couldn’t even prove that he existed. Liverpool were open to offers at the same time, and Chelsea have been up for sale in recent years. They even had the option to buy Leeds, and seemingly passed up on the opportunity. Qatar are happy with PSG. They were already buying soft power in Paris and France before they even bought PSG. They have their fingers in FIFA’s pie, and in European football authorities pie as well. Bein have invested in Ligue 1 rights, and they have won the right to host, and actually hosted the World Cup. In the last 2 weeks they have achieved their ultimate aim with PSG, that is until they build their new stadium and some sort of ESL comes along. On top of this both FIFA and UEFA are seemingly clamping down on multi-club ownerships, which would just complicate matters if they gave you an uplift. Who comes first for them? The Premier League club that’s cost them billions and has a much higher base revenue before you get to sponsorships, or the team they have spent the last 15 years turning into a global brand, singing up big sponsorship deals, and generally building them into a mega club? Qatar simply aren’t interested in you. Your best chance of such a takeover was when Levy had PIF round, and kept upping the price, ultimately leaving them there for Staveley to come along and bring them to us. It can’t be understated how much better the likes of Strand Larson, Alex Iwobi and Kevin Schade are than the best the Championship clubs can often muster. If one of them has a massive go maybe they can stay up. But it’s going to be super tough.

I cant see what the problem is for these promoted teams, stop pissing about buying 10 players for £10 million each, just buy a keeper and striker, Allison and Osimhen
Chicken Dancer
Aye I can't see which team of the 17 who were in the PL last season will struggle enough for one of the promoted sides to overtake. The likes of Wolves/Everton/Palace who all struggled for long stretches last season would be comfortably better than the promoted 3 over 38 games. It's ridiculously difficult for anybody to compete now, and the 17 will probably be the same 17 for a long, long time now, with 3 rotating every year. Even them 3 will probably wind up being from the same pool of 6/7 teams. As hilarious as it will be watching sunderland lose most weekends, there should perhaps be some grace allowed to promoted sides in their first season, especially if it's their first season in a long time. Some might say "well it basically is now anyway" but that's a world away from it actually being a closed shop.
