It’s the old the kids are out of control so let’s hire a bully logic. Will end in tears.

Wonder if Souness is available instead

Deemed not good enough by some of our fans but is Real Madrid’s main target. Cool.

Liam Rosenior was Chelsea's main target

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make

Was 100% just being a knob

They wanted a yes man who was prepared to have his players bought from him and be told who needs to play, was the way I read it from what was being reported in the media. They've got the pockets to attract the very best but the very best don't want to go there because of those stipulations.

That's not too different to how a lot of clubs want to operate these days. Buy the most promising players, then hire a manager to coach them on the field but don't interfere too much in recruitment which can upset the model.

Chelsea actually had a decent manager in Maresca but he needed some experience and leadership in his playing squad. Instead of giving him that, they binned him and tried to bring in an inexperienced manager instead who wouldn't push back.

Can only presume Real Madrid are going to ask him to be an Ancelotti-type coach at this point and let the petulant fuckers on the pitch just do their job given that the real thing isn't available. RM have previous for veering from a control freak to a "player's coach" so could be box office if Mourinho goes in and starts playing the cunt

I mean he's going to play the cunt wherever he is. Real Madrid would just give him the sort of stage he lives for.

Well, yeah, but there's playing the cunt with the players and falling out with them all and there's playing the cunt as in being the human embodiment of Real Madrid, which is probably in the job description anyway and I agree he is perfectly suited for

Thought Florentino had lost it when he hired Ancelotti again.

This…. This is crazy.

I credit Jose for kickstarting the golden era that focussed on hard work and graft but that was 15 years ago.

More like 20 years ago.

And to be fair, the Ancelotti decision was probably one of the few he’s got absolutely right.

Mourhino was awesome...around 2004. He was inspirational, original and motivational. But he has expired very quickly, and has been a bit of a mild fail ever since. Everyone knows Perez is a total loon. If Jose goes back there he wont last the season
