Arne Slot getting sacked puts Newcastle's stance on Howe into perspective.

Different clubs, different standards and different levels of ruthlessness unfortunately.

Oh for fucks sake.

And different ability to attract different calibre of managers.

As much as Slot turned from OK to a whiny self opinionated tosser, how ungrateful are Liverpool after what he achieved with what Klopp left him

I don't like Slot but him winning the league does get downplayed ridiculously easily like, I've probably been guilty of it myself too. It's almost like it doesn't count because it was his first season.

You forgot different budgets...

Edit: no no. Make that VASTLY different budgets...

Doesn’t matter what your budget is, over £100m on Wissa and Elanga is scandalous. At times, we’ve had Wissa, Elanga, Ramsey and Woltemade on the bench at the same time. Over £200m + sat watching. That’s on the manager not on our budget.

Guess our fanbase is not the only deluded/entitled.

So you think Slot didn't deserve to go?  Liverpool were awful this season - they got CL football by the skin of their teeth.

Budgets do matter.

Liverpool buy a flop it's not too big a deal as they can just buy another player.

Us, not so much...

Exactly. Which is why transfer failures at our club should possibly lead to a bit more introspection. The failures last summer may take several windows to correct and may also result in the sale of key ‘purples’.

By that logic Howe is just as deserving considering how awful we've been, except we missed everything let alone getting in by the skin of the teeth

Haven't they only managed at the same time for one season? Klopp's last and Iraola's first?

Pretty sure Klopp's team topped them that season too. Klopp's system was very high intensity.

Klopp’s team could also keep the ball and play possession football against teams that park the bus. I am not yet sure how Iraola does that.

I dont think Iraola will be success at Liverpool. Playing style is full of chaos.

Gotta disagree with this, think that suits them right down to the ground. Klopp style for example.

I wonder if they or Alonso are miffed at the missed opportunity

Fucking scrotes, I hate em

Was never on apparently, Alonso wanted to be manager and more involved, Liverpool want a head coach.
