The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester

Recommended Posts

Maybe they’re just confident they’re safe and want their next manager in place for new signings and next season. In that respect, fair play. West Ham should be doing the same with Moyes.

Be very daft of them to be confident they're safe

Then just wait 8 days, you can have all that lined up and ready to go then.

As for West Ham, why? Moyes came in got them safe mostly thanks to some good signings in Jan he was the one pushing for and they already tried the sack the dour british manager "to go to the next level" and ended up in enough of a mess to go crawling back to Moyes saying please bail us out again. West Ham need some stability and foundations laid before they look to improve.

Also relying on Villa or Bournemouth getting 0 points in order to stay up is a very risky prospect when Bournemouth have Everton and Villa have West Ham, very possible for one (or both) to win those games

You could say the same about us.

That's even worse tbh. "Thanks for keeping us up, but we don't really rate you. Bye."

They could have let him finish the season just out of respect for keeping them up.

So they sack Pearson with two unwinnable games left and they do it for Hayden bloody Mullins to take charge?

Unbelievable stuff

Didn't realise they'd already given it to Mullins. Seems a crazy move but you never know what's happened behind the scenes.

Watford haven't actually announced anything yet, which is the weird thing.

They have now.

Wonder if money is tight and although not mathematically safe this way they avoid paying Pearson a massive bonus for keeping them up as technically he hasn’t
