The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Van Nistelrooy to Leicester | Lampard to Coventry

Recommended Posts

I try to be cautious with what I say about other clubs considering how often fans of other clubs get Newcastle completely wrong, but it does seem like he was on a hiding to nothing at Spurs and, in the circumstances, his record wasn't exactly terrible. I watched them against Man United the other night though and that was as poor a Spurs performance as I've seen since the days of Chris Armstrong being their main striker.

Nuno Santos - 17 games, 49% win rate
MEDIA- Wrong choice, not good enough, make a change now before it’s too late.
Steve Bruce - 97 games, 29% win rate
MEDIA - Hounded out, did his best, elite player, needed time and money
Unbelievably fickle us Geordie’s like

One thing about Martinez is he's shown in the past he's not afraid to get a team in trouble trying to play football. With the likes of Almiron, St Max, Schar, Willock and Wilson we need to be doing that. We don't have the players to do the hoof ball of a regular relegation battle specialist.

Overall Spurs results this season haven’t been that bad IMO, but I understand performances haven’t been good even when they’ve won. A manager should obviously get longer though. It would be a really poor career move for Conte, he’s front of the queue for the big jobs.

I'm sure the media will try and say whilst results weren't terrible, performances were not up to scratch.

Whereas Newcastle, who's performances were dogshit and sneaking last minute wins or draws were totally fine and Bruce was massively hard done too.

Justifiable because it's Newcastle, and I mean fuck them right?

Rank hypocrisy.

Excuse me but is Nuno Espirito Santo one of the most important football managers in England of the last 100 years? No? Thought so. Zip it, deluded Geordie.
