He built a team in the Championship that simply didn't concede goals. That was never going to continue into the Premiership where the smallest mistake is quickly punished. Parker wasn't bad, he's just overly pragmatic and that's limiting in the PL. Doesn't help when your squad is shite too. Recent experience tells us you need to buy loads of players (Forest, Mackems) to stay up but feels like that's risky. Also requires weak competition. Leeds are loads better than most promoted teams.
