Had a shocker today, no doubt.

Made some strides this season but today was a pretty blatant reminder of some of his significant limitations/failings as a manager.

Extremely disappointing.

If you take the decision to start Shola despite all of his horrific performances of the last few years AND it turns to shit and you end up losing the game you deserve all of the flack you're going to get.

Going down to 10 is never a good thing but by all accounts we looked horrendous with 11 too. Pardew's done well for the most part this season but picking that XI and watching it splutter along to defeat is his responsibility, maybe not 100% his fault, but definitely his responsibility.

Start Anita instead of Ameobi and possibly Ben Arfa instead of Gouff and I'd say we win that game 9 times out of 10. Shocking line up and then I think what turned it from an inevitable draw into a loss was obviously Debuchy's stupidity.

The problem with Pardew is he frustrates OUR OWN players into mistakes and red cards with his negative tactics.  We don't frighten anyone as we never get out of second gear and just lump aimless crosses into the box for a striker with no league goals in 2013.

The game was crying out for Ben Arfa from the off today, all Shola did was foul Ollson or give him the chance to pretend he had been fouled.

That was it, we basically played 10 men and a hand full of fouls to West Brom.

He's a clueless manager, absolutely clueless.  He makes noises about having tired players so what does he do?  He makes one change and he brings in the most immobile player at the club who has the movement of a corpse, how does that change anything?  Shola's contribution today was to get called off-side, give away fouls and lose possession and none of that should be unexpected because it's typical of him, it's no surprise, or it shouldn't be.

People can blame Debuchy for his sending off but the manager should also share the blame because he set us up in a way which had us under pressure from a team who hadn't won in 10 games yet he did nothing to give us an edge, it was the reverse.  He allowed tired players to play while we had fresh legs sitting on the bench who could have given us a sharpness that we didn't have.

I wish that was true, we frighten me quite often.
