That interview was wild. Got the same vibes as when Ashley did his attempt at damage control. His defence for stopping the legends/ambassador thing and lunch to save what...80k a year? Saying it was necessary in order to stop the club from losing 100m a year  Hypothetically if they had signed say Gordon instead of Sancho, they'd "save" that cost in player wages in one week and then some.

Manchester United, currently £1bn in debt, are yet to say how they plan to pay for the £2bn stadium.

 

Which begs the question.....how many stewards and tea ladies would you have to sack to pay for a £2bn stadium ?
