That interview was wild. Got the same vibes as when Ashley did his attempt at damage control. His defence for stopping the legends/ambassador thing and lunch to save what...80k a year? Saying it was necessary in order to stop the club from losing 100m a year  Hypothetically if they had signed say Gordon instead of Sancho, they'd "save" that cost in player wages in one week and then some.

Manchester United, currently £1bn in debt, are yet to say how they plan to pay for the £2bn stadium.

Which begs the question.....how many stewards and tea ladies would you have to sack to pay for a £2bn stadium ?

Hopefully if we ever get round to… doing whatever we want to do with our stadium, we ask the government to pay for development of nearby areas. They couldn’t really turn us down after this.

This is my thoughts as well. How can the govt possibly fund on re renegeration project and not another one.

It’s the football equivalent of “don’t eat avocados Millennials if you want to buy a house’”.

That's a collective whoosh surely? No way that's real.

What's not realistic? Is it the massive spires that don't make sense? The durex around the stadium? The fact one of the graphics had us winning 3-0?

Well, considering they're reluctant to offer several million to help restore the Tyne Bridge...

Mate that's what our Saudi owners are for. Spend as much as you like on rebuilding Britain, just don't spend it on your 'orrible northern football team.
