Didn't make it past 3 minutes. Once he said it's the worst time supporting Man U in his entire life I just couldn't stop laughing. 😂🤣😅😆 Thought he was gonna cry.

That I actually believed, it's the most bleak I can ever remember them being and I'm 38.

Genuinely never thought we'd see this, it's great :)

I've never even heard of this. How do you lads end up listening to it?

I listen to the main Athletic pods and it’s advertised on there quite a bit. Got the second half to get through before bed tonight.

I think my overarching issues with this particular set of wankers is Amorim. I like him as a person and find he generally comes off quite well - he's honest (maybe too honest at times) and he has dug his heels in and maintained he's going to use his system come hell or high water. Could be seen as a bit stubborn but he's single-minded enough to reinforce it - he's not changing shit.

My main problem is the fact he can't get it to work. If he's a mint coach then surely he can take individual players and tweak them to fit the system he's brought in? I understand there will be loads of players who don't quite fit his system but surely his job is to take what he's got and improve them? He sees them for hours and hours every single week and if he was any good he could mould them into a team capable of at least carrying out simple instructions, scoring goals and winning games? You can't expect a manager to walk into a dressing room and say "nah, these aren't suitable. I need a new squad". You can't just replace the fucking lot of them with players who are capable of playing 3-4-3. At some point you have to be good enough to actually coach the players you've got into playing in that system? I mean, that's his job. He's a coach so coach the players to change the way they play and function?

If he's not capable of that then what the absolute fuck is he doing there? I like him but he seems utterly ineffective and the results back this up. He's failing miserably in every aspect. He's not prepared to change system, he can't get the most out of what he has, he can't change the way they play and his team gets dicked regularly - nothing works and he can't improve it. Any other club and he'd be out on his arse by now

Change the c to a D then take a pic in the mirror, just obvious when you think about it. :Le Tissier GIF:

I really don't get it. If Amorim can't win games unless he has exactly the right players in exactly the right positions,  which there's also been zero evidence of, then he isn't a good manager. If they let him rebuild the team to a 3-4-3 with loads of average Portuguese players then they are done.

We can only hope…

Chemical Jim Rat just looks like a massive cunt doesn’t he? Before he even opens his mouth or you read up on him. You just know by looking at him he’s a prized bellend.

Am intrigued to know whether Amorim has the same “one system” mindset when he’s making love

I suspect he’ll struggle to maintain the interest of a long term sexual partner if he does

But it’s some fucking system. Allegedly!

The problem he has is by the time he gets the players in to fit the system, the teams in the league will have figured out the systems weaknesses 😂

That’s been my thoughts all along, you can’t be totally tactically and positionally rigid in this league. It’s not Portugal where you only have to worry about 2 other teams that can realistically compete with you. They’ve gone for the managerial equivalent of Hojlund or Yoro haven’t they? Someone who might be really good in the future, but who will be eaten alive trying to learn on the job at Man Utd.

Fernandes now coming out with the same sentiments as Amorim. If the club don’t want him he’ll leave. They’re both desperate to get out of there.

I think the issue is this is the first time he's struggled in his managerial career, he's had instant success wherever he's been before and he's struggling to figure out what is wrong or change to something else.

He'll need results asap next season, I suspect he's been told to fix the fundamentals behind the scenes instead of the paper fixes they've been doing since fergie left.

I'm absolutely astonished at how they left themselves with only hojlund as a striker for this season.
