Guest The Little Waster
Could be jumping the gun tbf, there's going to be a vote on what action to take. Democracy won't work in situations like this. I think it's worth a go. There's 250 in the room voting on a specific action to take forward. If a majority votes all out boycott then away we go. Wallace will find a way of fucking it up

binnsy
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-magpie-group-meeting-16512816.amp Updates from this (public meeting) would seem to suggest that pushing a total match boycott is more-or-less being ruled out by The Magpie Group. to be fair i can see their point, to make the boycott work they need 20k to do it and despite the comments on social media there bizarrely isn't the desire of the majority of fans who go to SJP to miss the game. They even tried to get people to just miss 11 minutes of the West Ham game and even that couldn't get supported.
Guest The Little Waster
All you can do is make the arguments to the ' fans ' and try to win them over so they see sense . Simply calling for boycotts before you do that legwork is pointless

TBG
Should have a sit in instead of a walk out. Make sure everyone buys plenty of food and drink at half time to keep us going well into the night. Should probably stock up on gloves and scarves from the club shop just in case the weather turns bad as well.

Robster
Hope the people renewing are looking forward to the season. If they are lucky, the amount of goals we'll score might reach double figures

nufc4eva
If someone has paid up front for season ticket on 10 year deal I guess they are fucked if they cancel? Family member considering cancelling but won't get cash back so planning on staying away anyway There's varying reports of people claiming reimbursement through their bank as part of the direct debit agreement. I've seen cases where it's been politely declined and others where they claim they've successfully received a refund.
geordiedean
Surely if you've signed up for 10 years there is an out I mean surely you can claim for being mis sold a product As a consumer you have protection and rights??

If people have had success then great, I'm all for anything that hurts Ashley, but you're relying on sheer goodwill there from the bank. They can obviously give you money back as they can do what they want in that regard but I can't see how they can in turn get the money back from the club. The Direct Debit Guarantee protects you when the amount you've been billed is incorrect, or taken out at the wrong time, or a change is made to the amount without you being given 10 days' notice. It doesn't let you get your money back just because you've decided you don't want the product anymore. If the bank decided to refund someone and then take the money back from Newcastle, Newcastle would have every right to tell the bank to gtf.

Which consumer right do you think this falls under? Where's the mis-selling exactly? You've got to be able to quantify this, you can't just stamp your feet and say "I think this thing I signed up to is not fair and I don't like it anymore". Just reiterating that some people claim to have been successful with it, despite it being outside of the wording of the DD guarantee.
