We were in talks for a new contract with him a few months ago but for some reason that went nowhere. Wouldn't surprise me if his agent is trying to revive the talks with these reports.

I hope we get him to a longer contract, he's already great and will only get better.

It came from The Sun and now people are repeating it, as if he is leaving Iniesta, Messi and Suarez. [emoji38]

Wouldn't surprise me if he does a Ramos and uses these reports for a new contract however.

Aye the end of the guardian article said it all might be a ploy to get a better contract. Barca would be lunatics not to tie him down, offer him fucking anything really.

Surely they offered him pretty much everything already?

Too much is never enough when you're a Brazilian footballer.

Won't be long before he's playing for Shandong Luneng Taishan on $1m a week.

That's an absolute disgrace, just writing off a £23m player that would be a record signing for all but 7 clubs in the country. How are you supposed to compete?

No one's supposed to.

You say that like Newcastle have never competed. Oh wait, they broke the world record for a player. :p

Yeah but he stayed at the club for the next 10 years, Cuadrado has been at Chelsea for 7 month.

20 years ago during a 4 year spell as one of the best sides in the country, having spent marginally more than most other sides (in relative terms, compared to these days) after having just been promoted. Stop wilfully missing the point - you're becoming one of the worst WUMs on here, Froggy.

Bayern Munich may not be done in the transfer window yet, but it might not be a move that you're expecting. For last two months, reports have been coming out of Italy and Germany that Bayern Munich were targeting Juventus forward Kingsley Coman. Now, it appears that a deal is closer than ever.

Gazzetta dello Sport and RTL France are reporting that Bayern have made another offer for the young player. The transfer fee is somewhere between €18-20 million and is expected to be completed before the close of the transfer window.

Coman just turned 19 years old and can play as an attacking midfielder or as a forward. He joined Juventus on a free transfer after letting his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expire. He featured 16 times across all competitions last season for Juve scoring once and bagging two assists. He also made a substitute appearance in the Champions League Final against Barcelona.

Juventus are bringing in Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea on loan (with an option to buy, possibly), so it makes Coman expendable for the right price. However, he's an immense talent that most Juventus fans do not want to let him go for any cost.
