Aston Villa are now favourites to sign Nicklas Bendtner, but Eintracht Frankfurt remain interested in the former Arsenal striker. The Bundesliga club had been keen on Bendtner last summer and are still hoping to add the Denmark international to their squad.

Brummie:  :okay:

I'd take him.

Would the dressing room be big enough for two such ego's as him and Pardew?

Burnley has thus far signed

Steven Reid from West Brom

Matt Gilks from Blackpool

Matt Taylor from Bolton

Marvin Sordell from Bolton

Michael Kightly from Stoke

Not sure how much luck they will have in the Premier League filling out there squad with this crap. Shows a bit of faith in the team that got them there I guess. I imagine they will still need to sign some CB's and CM's.

IIRC they did the same thing the last time they went up. Kept their core and filled it up with C'ship players. To be honest, transfer fees in the PL are so absurd nowadays that even with PL TV money it's a risk to go all out if there's a big chance you'll get relegated anyway.

Did Roy Keane officially join Villa? Don't see him and Bendtner working together ending well.

In this instance i do think they needed him though, Walcott aside they lack pace, direct runners and width in their front line.

Tbf I think Alexis, will be great for them. Guy's full of workrate too.

Sad to see him go, particularly now that he was beginning to show what he's capable of, but at least according to reports we got an uncharacteristically good fee from him.

..and he's costing less than Adam Lallana.

And earning nearly 4 times more per week ;)

On bendtner to Villa, it's great. Bendtner definitely has something about him. He is unreal for the national team and I can't wait until he dicks portugal again in Euro qualifiers. Hope he can get his club career back on track. Under the right guidance (Not that Lambert is), he could be a proper late bloomer. Had a touch of Ibra about him 4 years ago, not sure what went wrong.

30m pounds isn't uncharacteristically good for someone like sanchez. arsenal got a steal of a price.
