joeyt
I didn't think Santon was particularly a Carr or Pardew signing just thought Santon's agent recognised that we needed a left back and said we could have Santon and everyone agreed to take a chance on his potential without much scouting of Italy
SiLvOR
Gutted at that, always liked Santon. Fuck off Pardew.
The College Dropout
Santon was a Pardew fave. Awful for long stretches and wasn't dropped. Then suddenly he couldn't get a game. I think Charnley got involved.
Astroblack
Sevilla sign Ganso. Flip, is he still a flop? Well he's always just been this extremely talented player who lack any sorts of mobility. People hoped he'd become much more mobile and dynamic, but his game is just made for walking football. He's a classy immobile player, which leads to him being a bit too inconsistent. Don't think he'll be a hit in Sevilla, but hope he succeeds as he's just one of those classy footballers with a very good left-foot and vision. Who else has had that type of style? Kevin Nolan and maybe Berbatov?

Ganso is just really immobile. He's a like a less fluid Rivaldo with not as great of a left-foot but possibly a better vision of the game. I mean he's really really talented player, just lacks the dynamicity to play at the top European level in my opinion. There's few clips out there that shows his talent. TaylorJ_01
Kevin Nolan I can't imagine anyone more opposite to Ganso.

Mole_Toonfan
Wasn't Socrates a guy who played at his own pace Was the 80s though, that type of player was a lot more common than today with all the athletes running around giving the impression that the pitch is a lot smaller than it was. From the little i have seen of Ganso i reckon he would have been a star 20-30 years ago, the game has changed though and that type of player is very rare now for a reason. joeyt
Boro getting Gaston Ramirez, Subotic (both work permits permitting) and Negredo in the next few days supposedly. Those signings would suggest they're going to give it a real go this season unlike Burnley who seem to be doing their classic thing of not changing their squad much after promotion

Froggy
Subotic is quite impressive. Subotic isn't that good anymore Had thrombosis or something last season right? Still a good signing and young for a centre back so has plenty of time to be a top signing.
Mole_Toonfan
Subotic is quite impressive. Subotic isn't that good anymore True enough, but still for Boro it's still an impressive signing.

Ryan
Shame Negredo is a turd nowadays. Yup. His first 6 months at City he looked absolute quality, like he had all the attributes to be a 20+ goal a season for at least 2-3 seasons. Turned to complete shite after them 6 months. Ketsbaia
One for Tooj, Éder Balanta has joined Basel. All the FM and Tim Vickery hype over the years - off to Basel Sounds like he's quite injury-prone unfortunately and lost confidence from that.
