NUFC_Chris
Think we must have one or two going out if this is true. Personally think it's just daft rumours though.
NG32
Surely if Pardew was going to be a Star Wars character he'd be Boba Frett? Nah Bubba Fett always goes on the offensive.
Teasy
Don't think we need him tbh. Was under the impression that Grenier plays as an advanced playmaker and I think we'd struggle to accommodate him and De Jong in the same side. Would much rather we focussed our attentions on a striker and a centre back first. Isn't De Jong more of a second striker than a playmaker?

Dave
Think we must have one or two going out if this is true. Personally think it's just daft rumours though. Not sure how we'd fit Tiote, Anita, Colback, Cabella, Sissoko, Gouffran and Grenier all into the same midfield over just 40 matches. Far too many purples there. Kanji
Change out our CBs and LBs (and tactics) and you could easily play a disciplined formation with Sissoko & Grenier in the middle.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'm holding onto the hope that Pardew will eventually remember that Sissoko is a CM. It's all I've got.

Dinho lad
http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2014/newcastle-had-clement-grenier-offer-rebuffed-several-weeks-ago/ Get French Football News understands that Newcastle United made an offer for Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier during the World Cup, only to have it rebuffed. The sum offered was judged to be insufficient by Lyon, but the player was also not keen to join the Magpies, having solicited interest and a bid from Arsenal for his services last summer. The player has every intention of leaving the club this summer, but for a team that can offer continental football, preferably in Spain, Italy or England. What a sensible lad. Would much rather we focussed our attentions on a striker and a centre back first. Yeah but we do though. The only creative player in the current starting eleven is Cabella and whose gonna get him the ball with regularity? Currently right now the deeper midfielders are Colback, Tiote, Sissoko and Anita. I can't be the only one who see's the problem with that? The ball is just gonna stick in the middle of the pitch and what tiny creative talent we have will just get isolated. We need someone like Clement or a central-based creative player to fill the hole that Cabaye left badly. It's not just creativity, its ball possession, intelligence, free kick specialist, etc. We may have spread some of the Cabaye goals between Cabella and De Jong but they aren't going to keep us ticking in the areas Cabaye did. toontownman
Read that as Skipped to training.... la lala la la.. "Ah Mr. Grenier you have been back and forth on this plane for two days now - we have a message from your club that you are missing training" "I'm not finished reading" http://www.fff.fr/common/img/08/87/8/621x423/130602154305_2.jpg
BeloEmre
I know, but some reports said he skipped training today and other reports said that he hasn't trained the last couple of days because of an injury.
toontownman
Well if it turns out he ends up elsewhere I am putting the blame firmly on Yohan. Clearly hasn't tried hard enough to convince him to come to us.
