Dave
Coventry fan got talking to Armstrong's family tonight. Here's the thread: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/62443-Adam-Armstrong-family-and-friends Guess what? His dad also said its not up to Mclaren. It's up to the hierarchy if he stays. This fucking club.

samag
Hopefully he will continue to play well a get over 20 goals this seasom. No matter which league we are in next season, he going to be needed.
Lush Vlad
http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/league-one/10117674/crewe-0-5-coventry The foul for the pen looked like it was about a yard out the box and the Coventry played leaped over the line. I like how he uses both feet. I've seen the majority of his goals and some of his efforts that have hit the woodwork. He isn't afraid to have a crack on his left. Really refreshing to see. There was a Coventry fan on another forum. Saying he looks better than Callum Wilson and that he's much further ahead with his development than Wilson was at 19. Means nothing ATM, but I still found it interesting.
Kanj
Just needs to continue to develop outside of our shit-show of a club and hopefully he can make the step up to whatever league we end up playing in next season.
Geordie Ahmed
It's his movement that's quality, he would go back to being useless if he came to us right now since we don't play to his strengths at all Looking at the goals he scores, he relies on the midfielders releasing it quickly and playing it along the ground, neither of which we do
sportnet
are we selling him or? http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/adam-armstrong-deal-close-four-10715797

George Bailey
Gotta be loan extension, surely they aren't that stupid.
KDT
His loan is only until the 16th so it'll be an extension.
AyeDubbleYoo
Should recall him and loan out Riviere and Toney really.

AyeDubbleYoo
Just think we're looking for a striker who could play off Mitrovic and has pace.
loki679
Nah, he's best off where he is. He's getting games and learning his trade like he should be at his age. Not to mention this'll be doing his confidence a world of good. If we brought him back he'd be competing with Perez and de Jong for game time. He'd probably be lucky to get on the bench. AyeDubbleYoo
Well if he wasn't going to be used then yeah, leave him where he is. But if we're looking around for a pacey striker to offer us something different...
Beren
Got Bellamy from Coventry. Would be cool if Armstrong came back half as good. Could be the pace in a little and large partnership with Mitrovic.
Tiresias
Have a feeling when we sell perez in summer he'll be the replacement
BottledDog
Unless he suddenly becomes a quick and a nasty fucker like Bellamy, while he'll no doubt be better than a Brayson or a Campbell, he strikes me as ultimately ending up struggling beyond league 1 or the Championship at a push. Just can't see him fitting in with how we play or even longer term in any Premiership team. /This post is trying desperately to be an anti-jinx, but the concerns are there. relámpago blanco
Depending on our situation I'd like us to Loan him to a Championship club next year unless we are in the Championship. If he scores 20 in the Championship then we should give him a go. If we bring him back in the summer and we are in the Premier League dependent on who we've sold/ brought in he wouldn't get game time. I just think he needs to be the main striker for a club for the next 2 years so we can see what he's made of.
ujpest doza
Some ITK on twitter reckons he knows the family and he doesn't want to come back as he feels he's been messed around and let down by NUFC.

What have you seen of him this season that suggests at 18 years old and the top goalscorer in the league in his first full season suggests his career is already on the decline? At his age and what he's achieved already he's arguably the most promising academy player we've had since Gascoigne.
