James Posted January 2, 2015 Share Posted January 2, 2015 I doubt Pardew has had any input on his release if true. By releasing him now rather than waiting for the new manager the club must feel confident that he isn't going to play or get a new contract, so better to get rid now than assigning the new manager with the responsibility - that wouldn't be a good start for whoever came in. I know all the bullshit his detractors will come out with "hiz own folt marra," etc., but at the end of the day, under a more positive, different manager, we'd have built our fucking team around him and he'd have been a legend for us.
