Hatem Ben Arfa (now retired?)

He's an idiot for coming back overweight.  He's been badly mishandled but there's no good reason for coming back from holiday overweight.  If he had an ounce of sense about him he'd have done what Marveaux did and come back in top condition and they wouldn't have had anything to throw at him.

I don't believe he did come back overweight, i have chosen to not to believe the regular bullshitting cunts who want players out and would do and say anything to make that happen. Marv did come back in good shape and got exactly the same treatment as Hatem got anyway. It's spiteful treatment toward Hatem and especially Marv from a manager who freezes nobody out.

I don't believe the club, simple as that for me.

I'm sure the club could put out a lot of true stories about Ben Arfa if they wanted to. For example, they've never officially commented on the story from last season when Colo and the like weren't happy that Ben Arfa got back into the team. They didn't comment on the dressing room bust up. The fact is, for whatever reason Ben Arfa is finished at NUFC. I'd think less of him if he decided to waste a year of his playing career sitting out the last year of his contract.

I definitely don't think Ben Arfa is blameless. He has fallen out with every manager he has ever played for. Ironically Pardew probably got more out of Ben Arfa that his previous managers did.

I try to forget what he's capable of, softens the blow a bit.

thomas?

no, but he may have the other half of this amulet...

Pardew is an unprofessional fuckwit. Feel bad for Hatem in all this. He may not be guiltless either but this is shoddy treatment by a petty organization.

Who do you think leaked it though ? For me i have chosen not to believe a club that has lied to us over and over again about countless things. And when you read (if you believe it of course) that Hatem turned down a new contract on less money and since then the club and Pardew have treated him appallingly. They want him sold as he's in the last year of his contract. I believe that, not the bullshitting cunts who run, own and manage us.

I will add i don't think Hatem is completely blameless, he's proven in the past he has a problem with managers. Now as much as i hate Pardew, you still have to do what he wants you to do as he is in charge. But i suppose the line for Hatem was crossed when Pardew starting blaming him for losses that simply weren't Hatem's fault. That when the manager's tactics, team selections and poor coaching were cowardly blamed on Hatem, Marv and MYM and the younger players. It's never Pardew's fault remember.

Even then Hatem should have bit his lip, by not doing so he has played right into Pardew's hands.

The Club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United.

And that's only the stuff they got caught doing, since then they've lied over and over and got away with it. From Llambias over what we've spent and Pardew on just about anything he says.

Indeed.

Fast forward to now and Alan is talking about champions league

Quite, they see season tickets down, they spend the money we recoup from sales and bang....bullshit spews forth.

Now watch as when as i suspect we sit mid table around christmas, Pardew will go on about not being able to compete etc. Rinse and repeat.

Seeing as Marv came back at the right weight and was immediately told to train with the kids, i think Hatem's weight was just bullshit anyways. Pardew has no intention of involving Hatem whatever Hatem did.

agreed that he will never play Ben Arfa again he wouldn't when the squad was in tatters last season rather play Gosling so got no chance now but its annoying that he's gave them that excuse with his weight instead of turning up in top shape and Pardew having to say I wont play him because I am an arrogant  pig-headed piece of shite that holds a grudge.

The club know he's only got a year left so this us their last realistic chance to move him on for a fee. He's obviously well out of favour (for whatever reason) but leaving him to rot for the final year serves no purpose whatsoever. Had he been given a squad number/place and a few run-outs then maybe a few clubs would have noticed and made a move? But no, completely ostracised and no one benefits.

The way the club have handled the whole situation is appalling. Spiteful, dopey cunts.

I find it strange that nobody has been linked with Barfa even on loan

His reputation isn't exactly great (tendency to fall out with managers etc) but it is very strange nobody would think they are the manager to get the best out of him, maybe its wage demands, maybe its the fee the club is asking (though not if you believe reports of trying to sell him), maybe its the clubs going in for him hba doesn't want to go to (I find it highly unlikely if a club in europe in one of the better european leagues tried for him that he'd still be here).

Whatever the reason its bad for all parties and in the best interests of all that he move on, he's not going to be given another chance here (and imho that won't change regardless of if pardew is sacked or not) and surely he doesn't want to waste a year when he could be playing elsewhere.

i think it is not a question that he falls out with Pardew (whatever rightly or wrongly).  the question is, is HBA falls out with the rest of the squad as well?

There's no evidence of any wrong doing on Ben Arfas part. Until I see some, why should I believe rumours and gossip? Because Pardew has frozen him out of the first team? That doesnt cut it for me, especially when you consider Pardews past behaviour is far worse and that is based on evidence.

Do I think Ben Arfa is hard work? Probably. Is he a saint? Almost certainly not. But Pardew is the manager, its his job to get the best out of our players, or at the very least, explain his reasons for dropping him.

He doesn't have to slag him off in public. Just a simple "His attitude isnt great", will do.

Just a needless mess the whole situation and it's one thing for a player to behave poorly, which I'm sure he has but for a supposedly elite, professional organisation like nufc to act in this petty manner is further evidence of this clubs disgusting decline and lack of standards. A situation in which Alan ducking pardew has moral high ground is laughable.

Surely in the prospect of the new season, any sane,  professional manager would give all his squad a clean slate and allow the individuals the opportunity to shine?
