joeyt
He does things that look really hard to do, such as controlling a difficult ball or creating a yard of space, look easy but then the easy things such as releasing the ball he struggles with. Really frustrating
Mr Logic
Yep. Thought he was well off the pace today, so many misplaced balls. Yet so much industry and, for the most part, intelligence.

Bimpy474
Careless with his passing, especially away from home where he needs to hold it and keep us in possession. So hit and miss this kid.

Bimpy474
Should give Murphy a go in the 10 position. He can't be worse than Ayoze is at times.
Darth Crooks
Should give Murphy a go in the 10 position. He can't be worse than Ayoze is at times. Not the answer I fear.
St1pe
I've found him fine recently but today was one of his days where he delayed every decision and it really wasn't good - it just slowed us down. He and Hayden should've been off after 60 minutes. Yep, agree with this.
Guest firetotheworks
We don't have anyone else capable of playing number 10 like. All of the suggestions are way off like, but that probably comes from us not having anyone near enough. Really wish we'd got Loftus-Cheek.
Skeletor
He's lived long enough to become the villain. Or stayed long enough to become the Gouffran.
AyeDubbleYoo
I thought he was alright today, worked hard for sure. He’s not a top PL number ten of course, but we don’t have anyone who is. And I think he’s doing the job Rafa wants quite well.
The College Dropout
I never think he's going to score or create something. That's damning for an attacking player imo. Can do some tidy stuff but is he going to get 8-10 goals? I don't see it currently. Don't think we have anyone better as well....
Figures 1-0 Football
I've always had patience with Perez on the basis that 'one day he'll come good' but, it's been like that for 3 years now like. I just dont get him at all, he has an amazing touch at times but he doesn't really seem to offer anything. I have no confidence in him scoring or assisting on a regular basis, he plays well at times but not frequently enough nor does he offer a real threat. HaydnNUFC
He's so frustrating, like. For 10-15 minutes he'll give the ball away, make the wrong decision et al, but then for the next 5 minutes he'll do everything right. Just what the fuck. We needed a #10 in the window, was blatant. Fanks, Mike.
Interpolic
It's going to be a long hard season when your striker and number 10 don't appear to be capable of chipping in with many goals. I like both Perez and Joselu for what they offer the team but the summer just gone should have resulted in us having better options in both positions. Newcastle Fan
He was actually much better a few years back, seemed to have gotten worse.
Bimpy474
Should give Murphy a go in the 10 position. He can't be worse than Ayoze is at times. Not the answer I fear. Aye i know but he can't be any worse. 3 games out of 4 Perez is a waste of time.
jimmymag
He's fucking shite! Feels like we're playing with 10 men with him in the side.

jimmymag
A striker who doesn't score, or create, goals and his work without the ball is embarrassing.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
We need to try something different until we hopefully sign a better player for his role in number 10, hes been ok so far this season but he simply doesn't have enough quality to be anything other than a below average premier league player. He doesn't score, doesn't assist and his link up play is hit and miss at best.
Amir_9
His "threat" in front of goal has been an absolute joke for quite a while now. A real shame as he was a decent player for us in the Premier League some years back.
Mole_Toonfan
Should give Murphy a go in the 10 position. He can't be worse than Ayoze is at times. Not the answer I fear. I keep saying this but there is no answer, people are frantically looking for solutions to the impossible. Rafa is doing what he can but the fact is we have some gaping holes in the squad which no amount of positional or formation changes is going to fix. The College Dropout
His work off the ball is good imo (as in when the opps have it). The only time he looks dangerous is when he makes an interception high up the pitch.
