Guest Roger Kint
So we're just talking about them not renewing after the 2 years? EDIT: Articles on about them ditching the sponsorship claiming it was a 4 years deal, thought I remembered it being only 2 years? I thought it was originally 2 as well but when i checked they say 4. Either way it will just be a mutual end when this season finishes as per a condition of the deal imo. The idea of them 'ditching' us is stupid as its clearly a result of their profits falling and a change in advertising strategy rather than them wanting to get away from us. Stifler
The article sort of hints at them selling the sponsorship on to someone else.

huss9
Wonga are despicable, they bought a local lender to enter the Spanish market at the height of our recession and they are ruining the life of desperate people that had to resort to their usury in these times of need. thought this kind of money lending was illegal in continental europe? Dokko
Have to write off £220m of loans, which actually only cost the £33m in the first place. Best bit is they'd have got away with it had they not become the highest profile payday loans company when signing a deal with us.

prefabtoon
Football fans seek removal of Wonga ads from club websites A group of fans led by Northampton Town supporter Bob Ward and his grandson Dan are asking their clubs to seek sources of advertising revenue other than from the Wonga.com The fans of 18 football clubs have called on their sides to stop carrying advertising by payday lendericon Wonga on their websites, and are encouraging the supporters of more than 60 other clubs to follow suit. In a letter published in the Guardian, the football fans argue that while payday lenders are not conducting illegal business, "that is only because there are at present few if any laws restricting their activities in UK. Their practices would not be allowed in most other European countries, or in most of the USA."

So if the kit design changes, which it will, like every new season. They will still stick a crappy wonga logo on it. Have they already designed the next 2 years kits like? You can't mass produce shirts that aren't designed yet. So how can 2016/17 be the earliest opportunity to remove it.
