Dave
Yeah, huge blow that. It would be a pretty big blow to Ashley's masterplan of making everything about the club as odious as possible. Perhaps we could replace them with ISIS.
Wilson
"There will be an end-of-season review, in which the managing director, Lee Charnley, will face questions about what has gone so dramatically wrong." I Wonder what it could be??

I Wonder what it could be?? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that particular meeting. Hear him try to explain the worst run of consecutive defeats in the club's history achieved by the cretin he appointed only 4 months ago. Fat little cunt squirming away trying to bullshit his way out of it.
Stifler
So all they have came out with is that Wonga may not extend the deal which expires in 2017, and Wonga have yet to make a decision. No shit, it's two years away.

Does he tell the truth and say it's because he wasn't allowed to bring anyone in until the summer under Ashley's orders in order to save money, or does he take the wrap for it and say it's his decision? Who do you think Charnley reports to? He reports to Ashley. That's the thing though, he either has to say we got in this mess because of his orders which Ashley won't like, or take the blame himself which again Ashley isn't going to like. If I was him I'd be showing Ashley the mirror as the reason why everything has fucked up.
Unbelievable
Do you remember last seasons "post mortem" where we were all holding our breath to see Pardew get the sack? This will be the same, especially if we stay up, which will have vindicated their decision. They'll have a good laugh about the fans protesting, agree to look very busy this summer yet not appoint anyone and let Carver keep the job without an actual announcement to this effect. The Championship Magpies will not seek to renew their deal with the payday loan firm at the end of this season – and are looking a new club sponsor. The famous black and white shirt has carried the Wonga logo for the last three seasons as part of a four-year £24million package. But it will end in May, at the latest, with the net being cast wide for a fresh corporate deal. United distributed shirts without the Wonga logo to young fans earlier this month, at a youth tournament organised by the club's foundation and manager Rafa Benitez. Newcastle United via GettyYoungsters got Toon shirts without Wonga logos at a charity event earlier this month Wonga's involvement with Newcastle has been condemned by MPs and many fans. The firm as accused of using football to target the poorest fans into taking out high interest short-term loans. Star striker Papiss Cisse also expressed concern , initially saying that as a Muslim he would refuse to wear the logo. Wonga have faced huge scrutiny after becoming associated with Newcastle and was branded a “legal loan shark” by campaigners. GettyPapiss Demba CisseNow-sold striker Cisse's religious beliefs meant he had issues with the sponsorship Two years ago, the company was forced to pay £2.6m to 45,000 people for sending letters from fake law firms to customers in arrears. Wonga considered scrapping their sponsorship of Newcastle themselves and reverting to TV ads, after profits fell. When Newcastle announced their Wonga partnership, they claimed the cash would help them compete for honours at the top end of English football. It was billed as an investment in the youth academy. GettyNewcastle UnitedThen-boss Alan Pardew and striker Shola Ameobi help announce the deal in 2012 It was also claimed, in a PR stunt , that the cash was being used to “buy back” the St James' Park stadium name after it was rebranded the Sports Direct Arena by owner Mike Ashley. Instead Newcastle have been relegated last season, and now hope Benitez can mount a promotion push this season. Managing director Lee Charnley and Benitez are seeking to overhaul the club from top to bottom to harness a feel-good factor that has been present since the Spaniard joined in March. That has included 33,000 season tickets being sold for next season, despite their drop into the second tier.
