Siem de Jong (still alive)

Recommended Posts

Southampton are a well-balanced side and they often play with 2 sitters.

City's best results have come with 2 in midfield capable of sitting simultaneously.

Even Spurs look better with 2 players comfortable in defensive situations.

For me, getting the most out of this current team is about getting the most from Siss which will create space for the forwards. I think he's best with a licence to attack from deep. Playing in a midfield 2 he'll either have to play more conservatively which might hinder his game or more likely - become a bit of a liability on the ball.

I'd love to see it given a go, I just don't think it would work for Siss.

SDJ just turned 28. Happy birthday to the lad.

I'm looking forward to him making those kind of runs.  Exactly what we need from midfield.

Is that Abeid winning the ball at the start of that move?

Think so, great tackle and excellent pass after winning the ball as well.

 I f***ing love Abeid like. Can't wait to see him back in the team  :kurt:

Abeid not playing on f***ing half measures like is he?

 Not one of the Carlisle players appeal.
