The College Dropout
He was constantly involved. Perez usually comes in and out of games. De Jong was consistent. Asked for fouls a bit too easily but he hasn't had a chance to learn the game here properly yet. Seems a leader which is vital. As someone said is handy in the air and a tremendous work ethic. With Cisse looking to get in behind his lack of pace wasn't such a big factor but you would reckon he and Mitro up top would be way too slow. Much like Cisse, compared to the young lads he seems to have a better attacking intuition and movement in the box. He was one of the more long-term strategic benefits from the game other than the extra effort.
AyeDubbleYoo
It is such a big benefit having a thinker and a talker out there. I haven't watched the full game yet but looking forward to seeing him.
sugoinufc
played yesterday. He needs to start and another big plus is his leader-skills. Just sad Perez play same position...but there should be plenty of game time for both in that position...also perez can cover more positions. Looks promising. Dave
Different class is a massive overstatement. Unless there's a totally different class for 'decent'.

Kanji
Thought he did well, still looks far from his best and what he's capable of but liked seeing him shout, organize and drift into great positions. He's rushing his shots, and his touch in the box was a little hesitant. But like I've said before when he had his debut last season - he's constantly looking to play it first time, 1-2 and quickly which is great. We need to figure out how to make sure Wijnaldum, Perez, and De Jong play together on the pitch to be most deadly in attack.
jackyboy
Really good game yesterday, great vision and first touch lay offs. Tired a bit late on just needs to start a few more games
AyeDubbleYoo
Definitely saw him sprint at one point, closing down the keeper. Encouraging!

It's hard to get them all in to be honest, I'd like Mitro in there as well ahead of Cisse. Anita Sissoko Winjaldum Perez De Jong Mitrovic That is imbalanced but not sure formations have to be ewven though they generally are. Without Mitro its quite simple as you could use the threat from Winjaldum, Perez and De Jong to counter the fact you are lacking a proper Number 9. Sissoko Anita Colback Winjaldum De Jong Perez
mozy
Understandably was rather rusty, but good to see him get some game time. De Jong behind Ayoze could be a nice partnership in certain games.

rocksammy
Not his best game but still needs to start and get comfortable with Cisse or whoever is up front.
buzza
Some neat touches, lacks the ability to get stuck in and press quickly like ayoze does. oozes calm though and that must transmit to those around him. Still prefer ayoze to him though

Tiresias
Not really suited to counter attacking footy, would be interesting to see what peoples opinion would be of him had cisse not intercepted his shot and it had gone in, still not sure about him mind. STM
Will score a brace against Villa. Or be in braces before Villa, one or the other.
hakka
I think he's dangerous. He's not really shown it properly yet, but the lads barely played in ages so surely can be forgiven. I reckon he will do well against Villa.
