like the look of this lad. no doubt be sold  next summer.

Anyone see the interview on Skysports?

The words 'step' or 'stepping' and 'at this stage' were most definitley prominent.

Good signing who clearly has ambitions way above our current level. This is gonna be a feature under this lot so we had just better get used to it.

We are a good sized, well supported and well publicised club for players to showcase themselves: end of.

oh and a good payday for charlatans who are willing to brown nose....

Yeah absolutely perfect example of the type of player told "come and play for us, put yourself in the shop window and you can get a payday moving to a bigger club while we get our sell on profit".

Losing players to bigger more successful clubs will always be an issue but it doesn't have to be firmly set in club policy as it is here. Just look at Everton, they tend to hold onto players and try and build a team whereas we're the complete opposite.

Baines is probably the only example of a wanted player staying there tbh.

If we had that attacking CM lad (name is escaping me), we would've banked a fee in the summer easy.  We would've pedalled Baines long time. Fellaini too.

Notice how we sign players on long contacts and rarely look to extend them. If we wanted to keep Yohan, Debuchy or Demba, we would've tried to renew a contract. Not a single rumour of one.

That's why they get the long contracts.  Give a player a couple of years to settle into the Premier League and they can still sell them for the maximum price.  On a shorter deal, they would either have to give them a new contract after 2 years or sell them at a lesser price because the contract has started to run down.  It also means there is no reason to give a player an improved contract if they are doing very well.  It is obvious there is no intention to renew player's contracts unless it is a player on low wages who have overachieved and so might be sold for more than originally anticipated.

Embarrassing as fuck that this bloke was the only one that had the stones to even approach the away fans today. Only been here five minutes.

The manager and captain are two of the biggest cowards ever to be associated with the club and it's permeated.

He looked to be surprised that most of the his teammates had fucked off down the tunnel and was calling them over to the fans.

It's a clear sign that the spineless manager and his spineless staff do not give the players instructions to applaud the support. Every single NUFC employee present at Southampton should have been in front of the away end applauding and apologizing to the fans who made the long trip down. This fucking off down the tunnel immediately bollocks is something I have only noticed in Pardew and his players. I could be wrong, but it's never been this prevalent in recent years.

Massive respect to Janmaat. When all this Ashley/Pardew saga is over, and the dust has settled, he will get a lot of love from the fans no doubt.
